I downloaded the app to brush up on my Greek before holiday. The user interface is clear and easy to navigate, the content is fantastic and the weekly study goals were really motivational. Would highly recommend this app!LiBeJaYo

I purchased with my Apple ID. I downloaded the content but cannot access it. I contacted support which indicates 48 hours reply. After 5 days there is no contact despite 3 notifications.NoSupport FromMichel

This one does run in my order and suddenly jumps forward and you have no idea what you have missed!

The Michel Thomas Method doesn’t need lots of embellishments and games to keep you motivated. Your incredible progress is your motivation. So I was happy to see this new app kept things simple. I like the new progress tracker and I love the addition of the charitable element for endangered languages. Yes. I am keen to finish so they donate to the charity and document disappearing languages. The course itself is brilliant. You learn so much quickly and it’s very rewarding. The app has some nice features where you can review phrases and listened to how they’re pronounced. You also can record words to check how well you pronounce them.
But the basic part of the app is poor. It doesn’t consistently play the recordings in the right order. In every 15 min session the app will skip ahead and you have no idea how much you’ve missed. It’s such a faff having to restart the session and find the parts you’ve missed. I really wouldn’t mind if this happened now again but it often occurs 2 or 3 times in each 15 min session.

Michel Thomas gets a makeover and it’s a great one!
At the onset of using the app, it asks you to select why you wanna learn the language(s) that you chose and I think that helps put things in a certain frame, it helps contextualise and bring meaning to your learning journey.
As someone with an uneven, non traditional work (and therefore life) schedule.. I find very unrealistic to be expected to keep up a “streak” that is daily, like most apps ask you to.. and it puts so much pressure.. and whilst that may seem to degamify the learning process, it certainly is an improvement and makes accountability feel like it should instead of like a chore.
There is also a section which asks you to set how much time you want to spend on that session.. and just wow.. chef’s kiss really! It allows you to set aside an exact number of minutes to just concentrate on learning and nothing else.. truly wonderful! Most apps divide by section or themes instead of allowing you to pick how long you have to spend on it today.Show lessSimon K-P

at nearly £200 for one complete language it’s not okay. If other language courses providers can’t do it you surely can do it. Most of the people gonna use the course for few weeks and maybe now and then for a quick refresh. People who recently bought their courses can’t even transfer them to the new app even in exchange of a symbolic fee.
Shame there is some nice addition in that new app, nothing amazing though but time saving, it’s nice to actually be able to see the list of words and sentences, the flash cards are a nice addition, it would be greater if there were more options, like speech recognition instead of simple recording, type-in answers and multiple choice type, the player that let the user fidget with the cubes and circles is nice touchShow lessTadpole75

It sounds as though you have purchased courses before on another platform? If so, please be assured that any purchases made in the Language Library app will remain available to all users indefinitely; if you have any queries please reach out to us at support@michelthomas.com and we would be happy to help. While some of the collections reach £200, the individual courses start from £40; our collection courses cost more because they cover more material. The more popular language collections take you from beginner to advanced, and thus take upwards of 100 hours to complete. We are also grateful for your feedback regarding the way our language learning features work; we are working hard to further develop our app and enhance the features to ensure our customers have a great language learning experience.
