Description of Phonics Readers by Toricana

Looking to help a young learner build their confidence in reading English? Phonics Readers by Toricana gives young learners all the tools they need to remove frustration and make learning to read fun! [ Full narration for every story ] Every story is fully narrated, including highlighting which word is being spoken. This helps learners: * Explore new stories full of unknown words * Learn intonation and phrasing * Match what they hear to what they see [ Audio for every word ] Audio for individual words is easily accessible while reading so readers can read independently without getting stumped on how to say unknown words. Beyond how to say whole words, each word is also broken down into its various sounds. This makes it easy to practice new or tricky words. [ Phonics for every word ] In addition to pronunciation, every story word also shows how the letters in the word translate into sounds via phonics. Touching the letters speaks the sound so the learning is interactive and direct. [ Leveled readers ] Phonics Readers by Toricana features two different types of books: vocabulary builders and stories. Vocabulary builders focus on items in the world around us. Stories are light-hearted tales designed to be read over and over. All stories include multiple levels of increasing complexity. As readers become comfortable with a story, they can “level up” to a harder version. In this way, readers can feel a familiarity with the story while still challenging themselves to increase their reading capability. Narration for earlier levels starts off slower, gradually building up speed as the stories become more complex. Have questions or feedback? • Amazing app for kids learning to read and write!

My kid is 3 years old and this is one of the few apps I let her use! She has learned so much; from shapes, numbers, colours and now she is learning phonetics which is something I have come to forget the basics over the years. She loves the stories and has named one of her dolls Molly after one of the characters in the book.
