This app is great, missing 1 thing…
Edit: Dev team seems to have vanished off of the face of the earth. Looks as though there’s been no update or communication in over half a year. Service is ok as it is. I’ve encountered a bug where the app crashes my phone sometimes while listening. In all honesty it’s very common. As there has been nothing since when I first posted my review. My stances there haven’t changed, but I can no longer in good faith recommend this service. If they come back and make some updates/changes sure, but for now it’s a no. Original Review: I genuinely have 1 complaint with this app: where is the loop feature for audio? Maybe I just can’t see it or something but if not, you can’t loop tracks? I feel like this should be a staple in any application with music built into it. Other than that I’ve got 0 complaints. This app is phenomenal. If I had to suggest some sort of new feature, maybe an explore page where you could post ads or invitations to servers for people to work with. Example: “Working on an album, looking for trap producers. Join the server and we can chat!”, “Solo bassist looking for a band, invite/add me to chat.” Maybe even “I provide mix and mastering services. Hit me up.” Maybe in these ads you could attach demos, art, media to give people a taste of what you have to offer. As of now it seems like you have to use other apps to then move to area. It would be cool to have a built in feature for meeting people to work with. This is a great app to use with an already established group. I couldn’t imagine a better experience.

Helpful for K-Pop
Really cool app, I use it to keep my K-Pop production team organized and it does the trick. I love how you can swap between your phone and laptop very easily. MY ONLY CRITIQUE: whenever I try and copy and paste leads I receive from labels into the AREA documents, the format becomes a huge mess. The leads often contain reference track links and when I copy and paste the document the links get jumbled up and the whole entire document becomes a hyperlink. This is extremely annoying and is what's preventing me from giving this app a 5 star rating. Please fix this!🙏🫶

Great fit
Been using this app for a couple years to manage my shared creative practice with my collaborator. We love the balance of structure and casualness that most messenger apps don’t provide
best app ever
it's like a group text, shareable drop box, online studio where you can change the song covers and it'll display on your lockscreen with the picture and everything. and you can access all your uploaded music on your computer by going on the website. you can download any sent song, it has every great feature. the one thing i wanna see next is a repeat button then my life will be complete :)

very nice application and i really like it thank you
Best of Both Worlds
I’ve been using Area for a while now with multiple groups and I have to say it’s a great service! Sharing and collaborating is so much more streamlined now and my edits are made much quicker with the immediate feedback I get!
Great collaboration tool
Discovered this app via Instagram (loved the content) and downloaded out of curiousity after another reviewer mentioned how useful it is for collaborating and planning. What a great tool for collaboration! I can already imagine how useful this would be for collaborating with colleagues. Great work!
If you make music, you really need this app.
Have been using Area for a couple years now, and it’s seriously increased my output in crazy ways. It makes uploading a new version of track an event! You can add album covers, timestamped notes, the list goes on…
What I especially love is how seamlessly it translate between desktop and mobile. As soon as I render a track, I throw it into Area and then can go listen to it immediately on my phone while I go do something else. Crazy good for listening to your mix 1000 times.
It makes me cringe to think about how I listened to how I shared and listen to my work before. Uploading to SoundCloud, google drive or iMessage. It used to be such a mess and anyone who I wanted to share my work with had just as hard a time listening. Area fixes all this and more.
Love it love it love it!!

Makes communicating with my team so easy
I work at an art gallery and area allows us to discuss and edit exhibition posters, videos and show cards remotely very easily. The app is also very navigable for new users
