  • Waste of money

3 cubes, none of which will connect to my wifi. My password does not contain $ or # or spaces. It should not be this difficult. Will be returning.
  • Wi-Fi Errors

I need to echo the concerns of others here that the app does not permit connection to a Wi-Fi network with a “#” or “$” in the password. We have several hundred devices in our facilities, and it would take days to change the network password and reconnect all of them. Sadly, we’ll be returning our cubes, and we’d encourage others to be cautious before buying cubes for use on a secure network which includes either of these characters.
  • No passive mode

Would like more options like a passive mode where i could keep the cube plugged in, not connected to an app, but would make the hit sound when it is hit by a laser. Hopefully something like this will be added in the future. Also would be nice to be able to change the hit sound.
  • Stupid Insecure Password Requirements

Would rate higher except not allowing $ or # in your Wifi password is a stupid design choice and forces you to use more insecure passwords. Not to mention you either need to create a new Wifi network just for the cubes with an allowable password or change your current password and then spend all day reconnecting all your wireless devices. This needs to be fixed.
  • Iphone issue

The app on the iPhone has an error, where the initial informational screen cannot be cleared. If you have an iPad, you can download the app and get it to work there, but this needs to be fixed by the developers.

Update: I emailed itarget and to their credit, they quickly contacted me and said they will fix it. For now you can adjust the zoom setting on your phone to solve the problem. Now that I did that I've used it, and it's actually a pretty fun little tool that works well. I'm going to bump up my review to a 3 star instead of 1.

The latest update has fixed this issue.
  • Does not work.

I have tried to connect my cubes 5 times and have never had a single one connect or show up on my screen. The setup video on the site has no information on why it would never work. They are overpriced paperweights now.

    Developer Response

The Cubes can only connect to a network that has a password and the password can not contain the characters # or $.
  • Worthless

We put an article in our club newsletter about iTarget Cube, and more than 2/3 of the active 220 members of our county-wide Gun club bought the iTarget Cube… and can’t get them to function at all.

A number of us wonder if the developer is writing his own reviews. Our deputy to the County Sheriff is seeking an injunction to prevent the iTarget Cube from being sold here, because not one of those who purchased a single cube or set has been able to get them to function.

    Forewarned is forewarned.

  • Pleasantly surprised!

Wow!! It seemed too good to be true. Ammo is expensive and back when I went to the range, I practiced with rented 22’s instead of a 38 (what I own) bc the ammo was cheaper. I like that I can use my own gun and move the cubes around. Starting now with clearing mode to get it down. Can move on to the other modes as my aim improves. 👍 I like that the cubes require steady, center hits to count, too. As in a real situation, there’s no such thing as close enough.

It’s expensive, no doubt. But it’ll pay for itself over time. I got my gun for protection and have a concealed carry permit. But I haven’t carried it yet bc I need to be confident the rounds will go where I point, which takes LOTS of practice. I’d never want to hurt an innocent bystander!! Now I can get that practice. Thank you thank you! 😀
