Shiva Yoga

The Shiva Yoga® Center in West Hollywood, CA was founded by Garth Hewitt and his long-time student’s Calin & Marina Sensiac. The location was formerly Yogaworks West Hollywood and City Yoga. The center has been beautifully renovated and is a very spacious 3000+ square foott, with a large main room and a smaller medium sized room for public classes, as well as two private one-on-one rooms for private lessons. Garth founded the Shiva Yoga® style and system of practice after practicing for over 20yrs with some of the world’s most renowned teachers. Experiencing yoga as truly transformational, Garth’s teaching is about getting to know yourself in a deeper way and on every level, continually showing up for yourself, increasing your self-awareness, experiencing growth and self-transformation, and taking your yoga off the mat. The Shiva Yoga Center offers a full schedule of classes, with in person and online options available, a growing library of on-demand classes,private lessons, workshops, events, and a world-renowned teacher training program with 200hr, 500hr and 800hr options available. There are Shiva Yoga® classes for everyone and students are encouraged to explore the whole spectrum of what Shiva Yoga® has to offer. There’s challenging Shiva Vinyasa, Shiva Flow and Shiva Power classes. There’s Shiva Deep – deep stretch Yin style classes, Shiva Rest – yoga nidra meditation –for a deep, healing, and restorative experience. There are also Shiva breath - pranayama classes and Shiva meditation seated meditation classes, for those who want to explore a seated meditation practice. Garth has brought together a group of teachers who are dedicated to sharing this incredible practice and making this community one of the strongest yoga communities in Los Angeles.
