Amazing APP GOD BLESSED

5/5 💯

BEST BIBLE APP

LOVE YOU

Response from developer

☺️ Love you back and appreciate your support. We’re glad the Bible Notebook is part of your journey!

I think I finally found an online Bible that works for me.

This is a great journaling Bible, and I have tried many of them. My thoughts and notes are right there with the verse! I don’t have to shift from one program to another to keep and find notes. I do with there were a hand writing/drawing option to use my Apple Pencil with. Also the ability to “tag notes” as personal or for certain teaching to keep them organized and personal journaling private .

We're also grateful for your suggestions. In the future, we plan to test interactions with the Apple Pencil for iPad users, and we’re exploring ways to offer more customization options for notes and highlights. God bless you!

Very Disappointed | Pay to use app

When I first opened it, it seemed like an amazing app I was very excited to use it. That’s when I found out that you are only able to highlight 5 verses and make 3 notes throughout the whole Bible. In order to have more than 5 highlights or 3 notes you have to be a monthly subscription. At that point they should of just made it an app that cost money to download instead of making people download it only to be disappointed by the fact that they have to pay to actually use the app. Very upset.

Thank you for your feedback. The complimentary notes and highlights serve the purpose of allowing users to experience the features without needing to activate the subscription trial period. We invite you to follow the app's progress as we continuously announce promotions and new features that may better suit your needs. God bless.

Minimalist but expensive

Update on 4.24.2024

This app has grown on me! It has some of best typography and is a calm reading experience. I also enjoy the note taking feature and using hashtags within paragraphs to “tag” notes and track ideas.

I do wish it had an option to add footnotes and references. For example, the NET is one of the translations and it has a ton of notes. It would be great if this app let you enable footnotes (like you can with your personal notes) and then you can tap on the footnote number to open a little pop window with the info. This would keep the app’a beauty and minimalism intact.

Old Update:

It’s a beautiful app! It’s calming. But it’s features are very minimalistic 😀. Though this is a good thing, its price of $15 per year seems a little high considering the limited Bible translations and formatting.

Thank you for your feedback and for sharing your thoughts on the app! We’re glad to hear that you’re enjoying the typography and note-taking features. We recently added a new feature called Bible Assist (accessible from the star menu) which provides information and context for any Bible passage. We invite you to test it out and see if it meets your needs for footnotes and references. We appreciate your input and are always looking to improve. God bless!

A great app only one issue

Hi this is a great app - my only suggestion would to please add a sign up/in option so we can sync our notes and highlights on our iPhone and iPads.

Everything else is great I like how minimal the app is, I use this app when I want to read the Bible on my downtime, thanks!

Response from developer

Hi! Thank you for your feedback and kind words about the app. I’m happy to inform you that all devices sharing the same iCloud account already have automatic sync for notes and highlights, so there's no need for a separate sign-up or sign-in option. We appreciate your suggestion and are glad you enjoy the app. God bless!

Beautiful App, Wrong area to have paywalled

In a Bible note taking app, taking notes should be something you could easily do. The app is well made and smooth, but having notes limited to 3 and than requiring a subscription is a pretty major cash-grab. I definitely agree with developers receiving financial support, but at least keep the basic things such as notes. Reactions and such can be included with the subscription.

Great app, just two things…

I’ve been using this app for about five months now, and I absolutely love it. I wasn’t sure that I would use the hashtags very often, but I have found that I have been using them quite frequently to find themes within the Bible and connect them like evangelism in the Old Testament, or evangelism in the New Testament.

I also really love the note system that allows you to see your notes between the verses. Sometimes the notes that I take are very long, and if the notes were on the side, it would not fit a majority of the time. The way that you can color code these notes together and highlight them with a specific verses is just extremely helpful for me.

There are only two things I wish I could do in this app that I haven’t found out how to do. That may be my fault and they are available and I just haven’t found out a way to do it yet though.

1. I would like there to be a space at the beginning of each book, or at the beginning of each chapter, where I can place a note before verse one. For instance, if I want to talk about the chapter itself in whole rather than a specific verse I would like the note to be before verse one at the very top (wonder the book title) so that way it would be connected with the whole chapter rather than a single verse.

2. Instead of just being able to highlight a whole verse, I would like to be able to highlight a single word if needed. or at least a way to emphasize a single word within the verse. Maybe it’s not highlighting it, maybe it’s allowing me too italicize or bold that one word for emphasis.

Still, these two things are not deal breakers in anyway, and I have been recommending this app to many people as I have found to be very helpful for me. I have never been a note taker in my Bibles before because it always felt like I was going to run out of room eventually and just have to get a new Bible, but being able to write these notes and date them and then re-edit these notes and see my progression of thought through these verses and see how I’m able to grow is really awesome. I don’t have to go searching through some old bookshelves to find notes that I took 20 years ago to see how I’ve progressed. I can see it right in the app. Or I can even write questions about these verses that I don’t understand that I can come back to you later. I’ve just found this app to be so helpful in my spiritual life that I’ve been recommending it to everyone and if you are on the fence. Get it.

I Love BUT

I LOVE how the app looks. Its really aesthetic. And agree it could have more translations. But I really do not like subscription based apps. I wish it was a one time fee and I would pay if the price was right and not astronomical but I feel like $15 annually is a lot considering there are other Bible apps that are totally free that you can make notes in. They are just not aesthetic. And also if this app didn’t last a long time I would be scared to lost my notes. I have used other notes apps that failed and all my notes are gone. So this makes my $15 a year more risky.
