Horrible App
The app constantly cycles and takes 2-5 minutes to find the fireplace, if it connects to it at all. The app loses contact with the fireplace if you are not actively in the app.
It is clear that Regency phoned in this app to the lowest possible bidder with zero quality control and no beta testing.

No thermostat scheduling??
App works pretty well but it can’t do 7 day scheduling like a traditional thermostat can do. This is a serious issue considering it is designed to operate a fireplace heating appliances. Some users don’t want the fireplace running all day every day.
I had to disconnect the Proflame and wire a traditional WiFi thermostat to the fireplace.
I hope they fix this soon!

horrible
been wasting time on it for an hour now.
Why don’t they real world test these things before they send them out. Simply awful and a waste of time

Significant UI upgrade and hopefully more to come
As a user of the original Proflame app, Proflame Connect Plus has been a welcome upgrade. Compatibility remains with older WiFi modules like mine that do not have the latest features. For me, this means that the app is essentially a UI overhaul. That said, it’s quite significant! Visually the menu items are much more modern.
I wish there would be app icons customizations like other apps have. A darker icon such as blue or black would be welcome.
I also wish the app would also offer iOS widgets. This would be a way to view the current status or turn on/off directly from the widget without having to visit the app.

Not usable
The app cycles continuously. Often does not move to next screen. Fireplace is not responsive to app. Thought it would be nice to use but unfortunately it doesn’t work.
Garbage
The worst app I have ever encountered. Setup is brutal, instructions are non-existent and none of features work. It won’t even switch the temperature unit (deemed an advanced feature).
The creation of this was clearly a money grab to sell “connectivity features,” as ZERO thought or dollars was put into the app itself.
What’s worse is that this is the “improved” version vs. the previous. Terrifying thought.

How is a person supposed to use an app that doesn't work
Can't create an account. Says you will get an email to verify. Only gives you a code but nowhere to use.
You can select forgot password and use the code but won't change the password.
Therefore, can't use.
Needs to be an app that can allow more than 1 user to be able to control the fireplace.
Very sad that these companies have apps but only 1 person can control the device.
The manual says to use the regular proflame app. Works great for only 1 person.

Not very smooth
I can’t explain very well, but the menu flow is clunky. App start begins with a net scan for fireplaces. When I’m on my 5GHz network, no devices are found (oh?). I have two fireplaces. Reset to 2.4GHz m; more time wasted. Transitioning from one to the other requires more scanning and busy circles chasing tails. This version encourages the user to register but I’m reluctant to give up this small bit of privacy, despite the developers claim that no user data is collected. Don’t you collect my email address during registration?
