  • Mic and camera are not working on this new version!

The recording feature and camera re not working on my iPad mini 6! Good idea but it seems the app still needs some development
  • Good, but…

What’s with the hashtag? Auto hashtag doesn’t do anything. Typing a # doesn’t do anything.
Would like to be able to edit an entry in addition to adding a thread.
  • Love Thinkdrop

I just wish I didn’t have to have a Mac Chip to use it on my Mac.
  • Unnecessary collection of data

I value my privacy so any app that wants to collect and then sell my data is a no. This app Tracks your parchases.
  • Can’t activate iCloud sync

Been looking for an app like this for awhile so I signed up for the free 1 week trial. Can’t seem to get the iCloud sync to work which will be a deal breaker for me.

    Developer Response

Hi there, There was an issue on Thinkdrop version 1.6.0 where indeed iCloud sync couldn't be turned on. This was cause the subscription status wasn't retrieved correctly. This has been resolved on version 1.6.1 or above, and thus an update of the app should fix the issue. Hope you keep enjoying Thinkdrop 2, and wish you a great day further.
  • (Revised) Love the idea…but no ability to edit anything?

The developer has since added the ability to edit. Super happy now :)

    Old Review Below:

The threads feature is awesome. I love the idea as it perfectly matches with the way your brain starts going deeper with questions and thoughts. However…there’s no edit button. No ability to move things around. And no ability to share your threads to another app and clean things up. I’m ready to buy as soon as it has those two features. Given this is the second version of the app, I’m surprised it didn’t launch with both of those features. But at a minimum it should have launched with the ability to edit.

  • A Simple Masterpiece

Though this is a simple app with few features. The features it does have are utilised to the fullest. This app is a simple place to capture thoughts with a handy date, time and location (which is added automatically).
  • Looks interesting but deleted due to price

I have so many subscriptions already, this is more of a £5 one time purchase, not £20 per year!
  • Utter rip off

DO NOT PAY FOR THIS APP
When syncing with iCloud all you see is jumbled up text on other devices connected to the same iCloud account.
I have paid for this App and it is unusable - unless you want it on one device only, in which case the free version is all you need.
There is no way to contact the developer through the app, other than his Twitter feed, which I do not use.
I like to support App developers by always going for the paid version. Again, it appears I’ve been duped. Probably not for the last time but at least I can warn as many others as possible.

    Developer Response

Incredibly sorry to hear that the syncing through iCloud did not work correctly. The result of this issue maybe because they were encrypted with different keys. This sometimes occurs when one of the devices didn't have internet. I will prevent this from happening in a future update. While old thoughts can't be decrypted again for security and privacy reasons, your new thoughts should be synced correctly with one key. I recommend uninstalling Thinkdrop 2 on both devices and trying to start over again. You can recover your paid subscription before adding any thoughts to ensure it works. In the contact with the developer, I understand that not everybody is on Twitter, you can send further feedback to thinkdrop@kin-yee.com.
  • How Does this Thing Work?

Saw this app and thought it was a great idea to capture, well, ideas and thoughts. Unfortunately, there are no instructions to explain how the app works. Furthermore, there aren’t any YouTube tutorials for this app.

Hopefully the developer will create a help menu and/or tutorial in the future.

    Developer Response

Thanks for trying out at least, I will keep this in mind for the future!
