  • Some good, many flaws

I have used MyFitnessPal for many years and find this app cumbersome and lacking in capabilities.
    1. I need to log in every time I use the app, which I find cumbersome.
    2. The database of foods s extremely limited
    3. It needs to give you the ability to input a recipe

I do like the fact that my weight is linked automatically and I like the weekly teaching feature.

  • 6 weeks. No help. Found another path.

This has been one issue after another. It’s been 6 weeks. There has been no support provided and only “customer retention” after I sent a request to cancel seems to care about me.
They lost sent blood work, sent the wrong diagnosis code so that I got charged for the lost blood work, they blamed me for them losing the blood work, I needed to send 3 emails asking for information and 1 email asking to cancel before I received any offer of assistance.
I found another medical weight loss group covered by my insurance. Made the appt today. Have an appt tomorrow. 😄💪🏻
I understand they are inundated because of the recent promotion of the State of CT contract and I’m hoping this can be a learning lesson so what happened to me doesn’t happen to future patients looking for medical help.
I hope everyone has a great and supportive experience in their quest for better health.

  • 18 days. No help

My Dr referred me to a local nutritionist for support before the holidays. They called the next day and set up an intake 2 days later. I was overwhelmed at the time so cancelled. My insurance sent this online option a few weeks ago and I was eating well at the time and maintaining but felt like I needed support. I filled out all the questionnaires and uploaded all required blood tests except 2 within 24 hours of signing up. 4 days later I received an order for 2 irrelevant to me blood tests. I did those the next day. It been a week since. I’ve received NO support in this time, I’ve gained weight, and feel discouraged. I’m deleting the app and looking for a local nutritionist. At this point, I don’t believe that whatever Oz is behind the app can help me and my only reason to stay would be my already sunk time costs. Others have mentioned noom. I’ll check it out and see about insurance coverage.
