EAS 3: Electronic combustion control goes digital
The new EAS 3 can now also be operated with integrated WLAN via an app.
The new EAS 3 is available in two versions. Both variants include wireless access via WLAN. In the familiar design with a glass plate and user interface, the control can be operated via app in addition to the already familiar handling. In the reduced form with an invisible, digital control unit and no display, only access via WLAN and app is provided. The app works on the smartphone in the same way as on the tablet, is free and is intended for access within the reception area of the local home network. Of course, when installing the EAS 3 without a display, make sure that the installation location is within the reception area of the corresponding WLAN router. So that both operation and parameterization are guaranteed.
Start at the push of a button
The initial commissioning, i.e. the configuration of the heating insert and additional functions, is easily controlled via the app with the EAS 3 without a display. There is a button installed on the control board that starts the connection to the existing internet access. Feedback is provided via an LED status display. In detail it works like this: The EAS 3 is set up as an access point at the factory. The app connects to the controller for the first time, identifies the local WLAN and passes on the access data to the EAS 3. With this information, the EAS 3 automatically switches to the local WLAN and the WLAN symbol is shown in the display variant. Configuration and operation are now possible via the app.
Protected tradesman access for the stove-maker specialist company
The buttons and setting options familiar from the EAS display version are also available on the app. The burn counter, the operating hours, operating instructions or error displays and the current burn as a temperature curve can be seen at a glance, which makes the app particularly clear.
As usual, protected access is available for specialist tradesmen. The heating insert is set here and the known parameter levels are made accessible.
Optimized heating behavior
BRUNNER controls like the EAS 3 not only control the combustion air supply, which is crucial for optimal combustion. They also recognize typical heating errors such as too little, damp or unsuitable firewood and provide the user with appropriate operating instructions. What is new is the information about the perfect refill time. If it is chosen correctly, the wood ignites itself using the existing embers. Parameters are stored for each heating insert that define the start and end of the perfect re-fueling period. A small flag above the burn curve marks the point at which refills can be made. The second flag is displayed when refilling requires re-heating.
A notice:
Access to the EAS 3 control via app is only possible in the local reception area of the house network.
Remote access via the Internet is not intended for the EAS 3!
