  • Yes, the Merch app download is worth your time and phone memory...

I’ll admit that I was a bit sceptical when I noticed that, without fanfare, the Merch had FINALLY entered the e-commerce game…but with a big bang!

They launched not only with a website, but with an app! An app that the Merch, itself, developed! (None of the other local STL-based players have an app yet, that I know of.)

So far, it’s a good app. It hasn’t crashed my iOS phone (I’m on a iPhone 11, iOS 15.2.1). Functionality is # 1 in importance for apps—always.

You can see all bottles that you’ve bought online from the Merch since their new website began (so, it keeps a bottle history).

And, most importantly - you may now complete your orders completely virtually!😀

    Future Improvements (Suggestions):

    1. Add a Wish List and/or an “86” List

Sometimes, you can’t go to the liquor store immediately, but you know that when you do, there’s stuff that you definitely don’t want to forget to pick up. Or, you’re undecided, but you don’t want to forget a certain bottle.

    Make this happen.

    2. Add the rest of the Merch—glassware, cheeses, charcuterie, bar tools, and other noshes and sundries

Because what if you want to do a picnic at home?

    3. Consider integrate the app with other popular eonophile apps, such as CellarTracker and/or with one of the larger wine and spirits review sites.

Make your app a one-stop shop! If people constantly find a use for your app, why, they’ll use it more. And more use = more sales. (Also, if you integrate with other vendors, you may be able to get some click-through cash from them, if they have affiliate marketing programs).

    That’s all, for now!

My favorite wine shop now has an app that makes it incredibly easy to purchase great wine!
