Gear2Go is a community-based digital marketplace to rent and lend outdoor gear, tools, and everyday items. Using Gear2Go, a lender can post an item complete with a picture, description, and price. Renters can simultaneously search our platform for items based on type, location, and price. The platform facilitates the transaction via direct messaging and a secure payment system. Gear2Go benefits all parties in the transaction. For lenders, Gear2Go subsidizes the purchase of expensive items that would otherwise sit idle. The platform further protects the lenders by levying fees on renters for damages or late returns. For renters, Gear2Go saves them from purchasing (and subsequently storing) expensive, bulky, or rarely used gear. The open marketplace ensures fair pricing and the peer-review system allows renters to gauge item quality and lender trustworthiness.
