  • Just Use The Website

    The app is literally just a link to the website. I've interacted with everything, relogged in, etc. You log in through your phone's browser, and then it keeps you there, never actually returning to the app. The app is a button that takes you to the website.
  • Can’t Sign-in and Use

    I can’t even sign into my account!
  • Horrible.

    Having lyrics on streaming platforms should be free and easy. This abomination makes you pay a subscription just like every other app you come across. I had to delete the app and redownload it, and when I tried to sign back in on my phone it takes me to an internet browser and is now stuck at the settings page with no way to get to the main home. If this is the only way to get lyrics onto streaming services, it’s a massive joke. 0 out of 10.

  • Absolute nightmare

    This app is absolutely horrendous. The desktop website version is a nightmare as well not letting me do pretty much anything done and yes I have a paid PRO subscription. Moved from desktop to the app to see if it was any better but the app won’t even provide a forward button to get me logged in. Horrendous. I can’t believe this amateur company is the company that Spotify is choosing to use as their lyric provider.

  • The app does nothing

    I log in to the app and… nothing happens. I have the option to change my preferences, my personal data, and to log out. That’s it. It doesn’t do anything else that it shows.
  • This app shouldn’t be the face of lyrics

    I am an artist that goes by Ty Alvarez and I must say this app is a tragedy.

    All us artists want to do is have synced, proffesional lyrics and this company makes doing so intolerable.

    Ever since I changed my my Stage Name there has been a problem uploading lyrics on every release without fail.

    Many times I would try to edit my lyrics and the app would say I need to “Graduate Academy” when I had already had my certificate for days.

    I emailed them about some lyrics that won’t upload for my latest EP, “DELUSIONAL” and apparently they are now “updating the database” so I can’t upload lyrics for songs with a feature unless I have a musicmatchpro subscription??

    But I have previously uploaded lyrics for songs with features before and NOW you guys want money?

    And then the app is pointless, if you try to do anytning remotely important in the app you go to a website.

    You guys need some serious work , wish yall the best though

  • Yo this thing is so bad

    It basically pushes you back and forth between the app and your web browser to edit and save your lyrics so you might as well not use the app. Editing your artist profile info doesn’t work anywhere either so don’t even bother. Good thing I was able to trial Pro, not going to be subscribing because it’s not worth it until they fix these critical bugs that completely hinder basic functionality. Last update at the time of my writing this review was also 9 months ago which is crazy for such a high profile app for song lyrics..

  • What?

    How is this company in charge of large platform music streaming lyrics? I’m just so perplexed. These are the buggiest apps I’ve ever seen. This must be a cast of, it’s not what you know, it’s who you know.

  • Im about to lose my mind

    Not even sure where to begin here….. I’ve verified my login 20+ times. It will only show that my band is linked to my account on 1 of my 3 devices although they’re all linked via the cloud. It basically just hates me and wants me to give up all hope for anything good in this world 🤪
    I don’t even know how to reach ANYONE to fix my technical difficulties or cancel y account or even just someone to cry to haha. Boo.

  • Increasingly Disappointing 😵‍💫

    Support & Service :: Rather generous on the 3 stars.

    Technical Issue :: Apple Auth for 'Academy' fails without error code or message on:

    • iOS 17.5 ~ 13 Pro Max ~ App & Safari & Chrome
    • macOS 14.4.1 ~ M1 Mini ~ Safari & Chrome

    Works fine for 'Community' & 'Pro' login with Apple Authentication. Just fails back to initial login screen repeatedly for 'Acadamy'. I have confirmed that Email Auth Method does indeed work for all 3 stated domains. Account login methods cannot be switched per Musixmatch, so that's not a tenable solution for my Verified Account.

    Email to Support@ + Artists@ both totally brushed off. As a primer for what to expect service wise when we switch to Paid Pro to add additional bands... not comforting ..as a cherry on top of the very steep pricing structure. Working class bands & labels seem to get very little love. I truly hope these are growing pains in the route to recovery.
