Gamify your visit to the National Mall with this fun, clue solving game! This app will have you exploring all the monuments and memorials from the Lincoln Memorial to the Washington Monument and making a memory you won’t forget.
The game and will guide you to a series of locations on the Mall through riddles. Each location features a handful of family-friendly questions that require your careful reading, observation, and thinking to answer correctly and score points. Some questions are pretty easy to find the answer for; others will challenge you to think outside the box and make you notice special details about the location that many other visitors will miss!
In total, the game takes two hours and you’ll walk two miles to visit a number of famous memorials, including:
- Lincoln Memorial
- Reflecting pool
- WWII Memorial
- Vietnam War Memorial
- Korean War Memorial
- Constitution Gardens
- Washington Monument
Two DC friends and I did the Lincoln-to-Washington course today and it was a great way to look closely at lesser-known memorials and monuments and discover some surprising details at the famous ones we’ve passed a lot before. The app is still new and there’s room for improvement but it’s clever and enjoyable!
