  • One of the best apps I’ve ever tried

I’ve been trading items from my closet for almost a month now and I’ve traded 15 items so far! It’s been so much fun giving unused pieces a new life and getting to try new brands and styles. I also love the discussions people post on the app, as well as getting inspired by other users’ outfits.
  • This app has saved my wallet and refreshed my style

I love the community that is on Lucky Sweater! Thanks to this app and the community of people who are on it, I’ve refreshed my closet on a very very limited budget, and I even joined a no buy/low buy challenge that has saved my wallet (and my savings) big time. There are different types of communities on here and more are launching so you can trade not only slow fashion brands but handmade/me-made items and materials, too. Trading across the groups is very fun, and it increases the ability for people to acquire slow fashion items that they may otherwise not have the means to access (it has certainly been true for me.) The founders also respond directly to questions and comments regularly, and it really shows that they care about what they are building.

  • Love this app

I have genuinely enjoyed using this app so much! I love the slow fashion community and have enjoyed connecting with others here. I’ve made some awesome trades and love being able to trade handmade items and supplies too! Highly recommend.
  • Size inclusivity

Maybe it’s just me but everyone who’s asked to swap with me is a small or x-small, and I am a large x-large. I’ve had trouble also finding stuff in my size in the swap drops. I’m also iffy on that concept as well, i dont know why stuff can’t just go live when you post it.

    Developer Response

Hi Abby, Thank you so much for sharing this feedback with us. We sincerely apologize for your experience not finding items that match your size and preferences. This isn't the experience we want anyone to have on the app. Making the app as inclusive as possible is one of our top priorities, and we understand that we still have more work to do in this regard. Your input is invaluable in helping us identify areas for improvement, and we are committed to making the necessary changes. Here are a few things we are doing and we will plan to do even more too. We are working on expanding the app’s user base to have a more diverse range of community members, which should help ensure a wider variety of sizes and styles available during swap drops. Additionally, we are working with plus-size slow fashion creators, the @SellTradePlus community on Instagram, and other groups to enhance the selection of items for users of all sizes. We also hear you about the Swap Drop. We have the drop to provide a way for the communities to come together each week and not have to worry about constantly checking the app to see if our dream item gets added. We agree we can do more though and we will look into making more drops or ways for members to trade more often! If you have any further suggestions or ideas, please don’t hesitate to let us know at support@luckysweater.com. Thank you again for your feedback. Best, Carley Lucky Sweater Co-Founder
  • Constant Crashes

Update: customer service immediately reached out and got this issue fixed - yay! I’m actually even more impressed with this app now. No complaints!

It’s a great idea and I love it when it works, but at least once a day I have to delete the app and redownload it, sign in again, etc. I can’t send feedback either because I get an error message every time.

  • Amazing and inclusive community

This app is the key to a worldwide community of slow living folks- trade slow and ethical fashion, vintage finds, DIY supplies, thrifted treasures and me-made items with people all over the world.

There’s also community support where you can ask questions to other folks who are into slow living and share photos of how the items you receive are worn/used/styled.

Everyone in the community is kind and genuine, and the moderation team is open to feedback to ensure that the community remains a safe and inclusive space.

To the developers: you folks are amazing! 💛

  • Lucky Sweater is an incredible way to learn about slow fashion!

The team is making the app better each week and is incredibly committed to the slow fashion movement.
  • Great app & even greater community

Lucky Sweater was started by two women in tech who are passionate about trading, thrifting and all aspects of creating a sustainable, ethical wardrobe. The app makes trading so easy and Lucky Sweater is always listening to the community and adding features and fixes to improve and already excellent experience.

Lucky Sweater is a great place to learn about slow fashion brands and build your wardrobe. Join in and see how trading > shopping. But trading is just one aspect. There are amazing discussion threads, too. Hope to see you in the app soon!

  • Best Closet Swap App Ever

Lucky Sweater is my lucky charm! This is not just a slow fashion trading app—it’s a community of thoughtful, diverse, inclusive people making connections and sharing advice about how we treat and think about our closets (and the planet). Come for swapping out and refreshing your closet. Stay for the kindness, encouragement, and engaged community that is LS.

Don’t have a lot of slow fashion pieces or have no idea what slow fashion even is? This space is still for you! See “gifting” as a category! And look through the discussion threads on how to get started on keeping a more sustainable closet.

The amazing women behind LS actively listen to community feedback, which means the space/app just gets better and better all the time. I cannot wait to see what trading space LS branches out to next.
