Attention all Yale Buttery Book users! Are you tired of wondering if the Buttery is actually open? Wish you could look for chicken tenders? Have an update for the menus, but don't know Look no further! We are excited to announce the most major update to Yale Buttery Book yet—verified calendars, menu search, crowd-sourcing updates, UI improvements, and more! - Verified Calendars (is the Buttery ACTUALLY Open?) - Buttery managers can now mark batteries as verified open or closed for the day, so you can be sure if a buttery is actually open before making the trek! - Search Menus - You can now search menus! You can search all menus with the search bar at the top, or per Buttery, and find the food that you're craving! - All Buttery Information is Open, Public, and Crowd-Sourced - Thrilled to announce that we have crowd-sourced the backend of our app, making it even more accessible and user-friendly for everyone. - Now, you can find all schedules in a convenient Google Sheet, - The app is connected to the spreadsheet via Google Sheets API. For transparency, it fetches buttery information through https://opensheet.elk.sh/1NZyxbnUMkChmZC3umrW8vJdyus6PdPyRq8GbDLZiglU/Calendars and - Menu Photos can now be enlarged for better viewing. Shout to Hana Galijasevic for the feature suggestion! More optimizations: - Mobile responsiveness has been massively improved. The website looks better on all devices - Refresh logic has been massively simplified (the codebase is much cleaner now with Typescript and helper libraries, specifically Vue Query). If you're interested, the GitHub repository can be found here - UI has been improved for easier menu searching. The app will default "grid" view on desktop and "card" view on mobile for menus - Schedules are now in public calendarsButtery Schedule Text now displays "time | day" instead of "day, time"
