You can now share your list externally with your friends and family! Trying to provide a bunch of recs for the best spots in Toronto? You can select all the spots and we'll automatically create a link that you can share with anyone. We've also improved the taste profile and have now made each cuisine clickable so you can view all the places that make up your cuisine count.

Two heavily requested features are now here! 1. You can now search through your own list in the My Places screen, search your pins and your friends pins on the map, or directly search one of your friend's places from their account screen. Use it as a way to discover new restaurants rated by your friends. For example, if you’re looking for a pizza spot nearby that you haven’t tried, all you have to do is search “pizza”!” 2. Create your own custom tags! When tagging a place, you can now create your own custom tags to describe it exactly the way you want. You could then search places by the tags you've created! We've also built a V1 of a taste profile. Head over to your account screen to see a sorted list of which cuisines you've tried the most. You can also see your friends' list from their account page. There's more to come on this side of things.

The first and most important update in this release is we’ve fixed one of the most annoying bugs you’ve constantly told us about. Getting logged out more times than a kid asking “are we there yet?” on a road trip. The fix will take effect on October 21, so you may (or may not) experience one more log out event until then. But we promise no more after that! Let’s get on with the rest: We introduced a fresh design to the My Places page! Alongside that, we’ve finally introduced notifications! The current notifications are: - You’ll be notified whenever someone new follows you - We know how busy life gets sometimes and a little reminder to add any new places should do the trick to get you keeping an updated list of all the places you’ve been to. Apple does a lot of things well, but for majority of users, Google’s map application easily trumps Apple map application. For those of you who prefer to use Google maps, there’s no longer a need to shed a tear as you’re forced to use apple maps when clicking on directions or a location. We now default to Google maps should you have it downloaded.
