Hasn’t Worked

I installed the device, downloaded the app, and began creating an account. After I put in the code sent in email the app continued having errors.

I tried multiple times and even deleted the app and reinstalled! The app still hasn’t worked!

Can’t even get to where I can add a device to control.

Very unsatisfactory! May find alternatives for my needs if not corrected soon.

Defective App

The switch and dimmer do not work. They were once working fine. The app update then kicked them off the app when it transitioned over to email. Now I have no smart dimmer or smart switch. Defeats the purpose of this purchase.

If you are lucky enough to be reading this before you’ve unboxed your Eaton Smart Home device then you are in luck, because you can send it back unopened and get your precious money back. The product may be as good as gold but You’ll never know because the app that controls it is unusable! You can’t even login to it! The only support you can access is an error message that gives helpful information like “something went wrong, please try again later “ over and over again. My login works on the website but the app just keeps failing. Two inquiries via email with no answer. The chatbot isn’t programmed to help with the app? And the phone number gives an after-hours recording no matter what time of day you call.

They don’t know what they’re doing

App was working fine then they come out with update and now I can’t login as it logged me out. Keeps saying try again later even though I enter in correctly.
Why trust a company that manages devices for your home when they can’t manage an app???

App not reliable

Just inconvenient to have all lighting on it for app to shut down the you cannot run the home lighting.

Server goes down and you lose control of your devices

Currently can’t turn on my outlet because the app is inaccessible, seems like a critical design flaw.

Eaton smart switches & Brightlayrt

Absolute garbage. Constantly failing, factory can’t figure it out complete garbage. Run don’t walk away from this product and app.

Hopefully you have better luck than me

I had an electrician put in the smart switch but could never get the switch recognized by the app. I’m an IT guy with smart devices throughout the house so it’s not like I’m an amateur. Hopefully you have better luck than me

Can’t create an account

Installed product and now trying to use app to control product. When I go to create an account the app says “sorry, there was a(n) error in setting password for user,” and it won’t create an account. I’ve done all the basic tech stuff like restart phone, delete and redownload app, double checked the password standards and requirements, and I still get the same error message.

Seems like this app needs to be updated and/or something on Eatons end needs to be fixed. Until then I give this app a one star - zero star if I could. Depending on how this is resolved I’ll update my review.

Breaker Not a Responding Since Update

Ever since the new update a week ago, the breaker is not responding to the app. I remove the breaker from the app and go through the whole process of adding the breaker again, and it works for only about 24 hours. Everything was working fine until the new update. Please advise.
