Reviews of The Kautapen Group

  • Outstanding

Los Picazos is a fabulous place where the duck hunting with skilled guides makes for a tremendous duck hunting experience.

But wait then comes the food and wine! You will think you are on a foodie vacation where the chef’s creative flair made mouth watering dining experience.

Lastly just look over your shoulder and the lodge manager and his staff are there to provide whatever your heart desires.

This was my first time in Argentina and it has left a lasting impression.

  • Bair’s Lodge Feedback

Overall great accommodations. Excellent food and staff. However, my buddies, Wally’s, Sage rod was broken due to deferred maintenance on a leaning brace on Harley’s boat. Bair’s lack of maintenance was the cause and I feel strongly that Bair’s should reimburse Wally for his rod repair. We were surprised it wasn’t offered.
A chest of drawers would come in handy rather than living out of suitcases for things not able to hang.
Guides were all good but surprisingly not equipped with fishing gear and didn’t assist with landing fish. Chris was the only one to help with landing fish.
Horizontal rod racks would be better suited to keep reels above sand.
I had a good time, caught many fish.
Main criticism is about boat and not offering to cover Wally Jarman’s costs for Sage rod repair.
Luckily I wasn’t injured when I fell out of boat with the brace in my hand.
    Regards,
