  • Aesthetically stunning platform for creativity

I am so thankful Indyx exists.
I never knew how to make Pinterest outfit flatlays to visualise outfits and always wanted to craft my outfits visually to reference, revel in, review. I absolutely love and look forward to putting my outfits together on Indyx. I’ll never not use a wardrobe app. I’ve shopped less since I started using the app and I’ve enjoyed the clothing already have so much more. It’s making me a more thoughtful consumer, I’m more satisfied than ever with my wardrobe and I’m so impressed with the Indyx team who’s values align with what inspires me in the fashion realm. For someone completely new to learning about styling, this app celebrates and teaches me so much about using what I have and being intentional with adding future items to my stash. I love it - thank you so much!!!

  • I use it every day!

Truly my favorite app. I’ve been tracking my wardrobe for 1.5 years. When I got into this habit, I actually started with Indyx and while I loved the concept, at the time the technology was not there. I moved to Stylebook which isn’t feature rich but got the job done. However, especially over the last year, Indyx has made huge investments in their technology and features. I migrated over to Indyx a few months ago and I haven’t regretted it. This app has changed my life and my relationship to my clothes. There isn’t another product like this in the closet tracking marketplace, and the developers Yidi & Devon are extremely responsive and making updates at a fast pace for such a small team.

If you love fashion, want to reduce your consumption, or just wish to change your relationship to getting dressed, this app is it and more!

  • Soooo useful and easy to use.

I have a LOT clothes. I also have a really poor memory which can be problematic when shopping and I come home with new purchases only to realise I already have almost the exact same thing but I’d just forgotten about it. Great for creating outfits and tracking what you wear and planning a ‘cull’. Who knew a girl ‘needed’ 26 pairs of jeans??!! Keep it going.

  • bad

uploads only one piece of clothing at a time. quality of pic is destroyed after upload. is set out/appears like an old website. very slow
  • Looking forward to more features

Loving the app so far. The weekly ‘onboarding’ series for the first month helped me make this a sustainable part of my day that also helps with my decision fatigue. There’s no getting around it though - cataloging your entire wardrobe is a PAIN. So worth the day or so it’ll take you though.

One feature I’d like to see is a way to ‘archive’ items. I ran a pair of shoes into the ground, so they’re not a part of my wardrobe anymore. I don’t want to lose the data of the outfits, CPW, etc, but I don’t want to ‘clutter’ my digital closet, so to speak, with things I can’t actually wear anymore.

Keeping it archived, however, would allow me to reference old outfits once I get a new shoe that fits the same vibe. It also allows me to understand my previous use of that shoe to gauge the investment I should place in its replacement.

    Developer Response

The 'Archive' feature already exists! Long-press on an item OR outfit, and you'll see the option to archive it. This hides it from your main wardrobe, but allows you to keep all the data for future reference as you suggested.
  • Useless

In my opinion, the whole point of an app like this is for it to create outfits in different styles for different events without you having to think about it, so that you can use the items you already have in different and innovative ways and by doing that avoid buying additional things and avoid unnecessary waste, but this app does not do that, you need to pay extra for someone to tell you what items to put together. There are hundreds of services in person who would come to your home and advice you on how to male the most of your wardrobe for a fraction of the price, and it will be a much more personalise experience, on top of that, this app dod not even have a quiz for men and all the option in the women quiz were for people whose gender expression is extremely feminine leaving anyone who is comfortable expressing themselves any other way out.

  • Get it!

I love this app! I definitely caught myself developing an online shopping addiction and this ended up being a really fun solution. Cataloguing your clothes is really easy. You just take a picture and it removes the background for you and put some basic info in. You can scroll through like it’s an online shop, but it’s literally your own clothes. I always forget what I already have and this has helped me rediscover some awesome pieces. You can also plan your outfits and even put them into a calendar. I love that you can also look at other people’s clothes and the outfits they’ve created for inspiration. It’s so fun! :)

  • Game Changer!

Wow. This is my first time using a wardrobe app and it is life changing. Even just taking the time to photograph and upload my wardrobe has changed my whole relationship with what’s in my closet.
I have decluttered my wardrobe, wear more of what I have and am currently packing for a trip by creating outfits, I cannot get enough!

  • The Clueless Closet App We All Wanted

This is the only digital closet app that I’ve actually committed to while others I’ve uploaded only part of my closet because they didn’t have the features I wanted and INDYX definitely does:

    - The process to upload is easy and streamlined
    - Background removal is clean
    - Add as little or as much detail to each item
    - App has a chic/clean look
    - Super organized with categories
    - Sorting features to build outfits quickly
    - Pre-arranges items for you to build outfits
    - No limit to how many items you upload
    - Free! You can pay for styling and having someone help you upload your closet
    - Creators are open to public improvement suggestions and are quick to respond

There are so many other features but this review would be too long. Basically, building outfits became my favorite go-to activity on my spare time. I follow the app on Instagram to see upcoming updates; the team is small and has a love for what they do so everything gets done right!

  • Concept is there… Execution needs work

I love the concept and design of this app. I use it almost everyday to track my outfits and plan future outfits. The app is laid out in an understandable, user friendly way.
However, EVERY TIME I use the app, there are glitches! Items won’t load when putting together an outfit or pictures won’t load when uploading new items. When using filters to find a specific item, a whole bunch of the images won’t load. It is so frustrating!
I really want to love and continue using this app, but the technical difficulties are so frustrating to deal with!
