As you breathe out, feel your belly lower. The hand on your belly should move more than your chest. • Breathe fully into your belly as it rises and falls with your breath. • Try not to focus on other thoughts during practice. Instead, try and keep all attention focused only on your breath. • You will get the most benefit if you do it regularly, as part of your daily routine one to two times a day, for 3 minutes. ■ Limitations ■ A person may feel lightheaded after doing deep breathing for the first few times. Therefore, it is advisable to try this technique when sitting or lying down to prevent dizziness or falls. If a person experiences this, they should stop using the technique.
