Not reassuring, needs more consideration
1. Tell us where photos are stored. “The cloud” is not sufficient. Is it using our own iCloud storage or storage elsewhere?
2. Don’t advertise the Fake PIN feature as a fake PIN. This is stupid because all it would take to sow distrust is for someone to see that if an empty gallery exists, it is likely the fake PIN. Instead, implement the ability to assign a unique PIN to a number of galleries, and allow users to set up decoy photos like the preview image implies.
3. You need to give a LOT more general reassurances about privacy and indicate exactly when the data moves from the device onto the cloud.
As it stands now, this app has no credibility whatsoever, and I would caution users in trusting that their data is safely or privately stored. This could be a recipe for blackmail.
I do not have a partner to speak of to cheat on, but it’s evident that’s who this app is geared toward. No one needs to hide their cat photos. I’m not going to judge people, but by the time you need an app like this, the problem in your life is probably a lot larger than needing a more private place to store your nudes. But if you are going to need an app like this regardless, the above is what needs to change first. The developer needs to enhance reputation by establishing a company and having more than a fly-by-night Wix site with a privacy policy and Gmail contact. Someone would be really foolish to offer up sensitive data to this app as it stands.
