Jams up w/o internet. Too many messages.
Given that there’s no free Wi-Fi at he conference and most people aren’t getting paper schedules anymore, it seems rather inconvenient that it often jams up if you not actively connected to internet. For example, I was looking at “events” and shut down the app, but when I reopened it, I didn’t have internet. So, even after rebooting my iPad, it wouldn’t allow me to back out of that page. It just kept insisting I needed internet and refused to do anything else until I found internet. This almost made me late to a talk, because my schedule was in that other side I couldn’t access.
It’s also constantly interrupting meetings with “ads”/messages. Those could at least be timed better, like only the top of even hours or such. They’re like every 30 min. I’m not here to read the ads on this app the entire day!
All said, however, it feels better than in past years (when would have given fewer stars), for reasons I don’t recall. But it has improved for sure!
