hūmNET is a new type of social network. It is radically simple. In a hyper-connected world, we feel less connected. Our social media interactions leave us feeling more isolated, dissatisfied, and alone.
hūmNET is a platform where you can share a moment of togetherness and feel connected to others, all around the world, synchronously in real time, around a singular intention, thought, wish, prayer, meditation, etc.
hūmNET is a radically simple concept.
There are short "events" we call humns. You can create a humn for yourself or others; you can join an always open humn or a time-specific humn that you've been invited to or that interests you.
WHAT HAPPENS IN A HUMN?
· For a few minutes, you focus on a few words in the middle of your device's screen at the same time as others participating in the same humn.
· To help hold your focus, you can follow the ball circling the words with the thumb of your hand that's holding your device.
· To feel the connection there’s a count of how many are there at that moment
· And a live map that shows you where everyone else in that humn is [coming soon!]
· There’s a soothing vibration that helps you feel more connected to the humn.
· There’s a pleasing humn tone that you can mute or adjust the volume on your device.
· 5 seconds before the end of the humn, you’ll hear a chime.
· When the humn ends, you’ll be brought to the after-humn screen, which will provide more information about things you can do next.
· You can leave at any time. The leave button will bring you to the after-humn screen.
CREATING A HUMN:
· Anyone can create a humn for any cause or event or need.
· Click the + button at the bottom of the screen and add text and special characters to the following fields:
· TITLE: Be descriptive · you can use emojis and special characters too!
· FOCUSED PHRASE: This is what will go in the circle - a short phrase and maybe an emoji character work best.
· HUMN DESCRIPTION: This is the intention of the humn and will show on the screen before the humn starts. It tells people why they're here and what you're asking them to think about during the humn.
· HUMN DESCRIPTION: Learn more. Get Involved. Donate. Invitations to a next action can go here, as well as a link. https://humnet.live for example.
· SAVE: if you want to come back and finish later, you can save your draft.
SCHEDULING A HUMN:
· Set the time, date, duration, and recurrence.
-- NOTE: If you're creating a humn for friends and family, finding out when they're available first is recommended.
BEFORE THE HUMN:
If the humn hasn’t started yet, you’ll be in the waiting room where you can see the day’s focus and intention, how many others are planning to join, and a count-down.
·Save the humn by tapping the heart button.
· Check the box to indicate you're going.
· Add it to your calendar so you're sure not to miss it.
· Share the humn with friends, family, your social accounts
AFTER THE HUMN:
· 5 seconds before the end of the humn, you’ll hear a chime.
· When the humn ends, you’ll be brought to the after-humn screen, which will provide more information about the humn, and about things you can do next.
