  • Amazing game

    Great game. Wonderful graphics. Loved the mechanical workings. In the last temple, I did notice the unusual sword that one of the deities (at least that’s what I think the statues represent) was holding and it reminded me of the sword of Detective Dee or Judge Dee (can’t remember which one and am not sure on the surname spelling—Dee or Di) in which the late emperor had entrusted to Dee/Di. The sword was made from a meteor and virtually indestructible. It’s rings could be manually spun and the Empress Wu Zetian (think it was her) wanted the sword. At any rate, the game played well and it piqued my interest in doing research on the deities and the sword. There’s way too many Buddhas in the Oriental and Asian culture to know exactly which Buddhas were used in this game. With such attention to details by the developer, I wonder if any of the buildings in the game were based on actual buildings, like the Hall of Supreme Harmony. I enjoyed the inventiveness, the graphics and the details more than playing the game, which is not meant to downplay the game itself. It is definitely a game worthy of your time to play and enjoy. I will be checking out other games by this developer.

  • Good game, but….

    Good game. I like the challenges. The only thing I don’t like is how SLOW the transitions are. When things move and something else opens up, when a character moves from one place to the next while waiting for paths to change, when one house is completed and it takes you inside, has you slooowwwwly climb up the statue, then takes an eternity leaving the house to pan back to the front of the house for the next move. It’s all at a snails pace and it drives me insane. The only reason I’m going to finish it is bc I can’t start something and not finish. Idk if there are other games by this company, but if there are, I seriously hesitate to play them if they all have this same type of overdramatic slow motion

  • Low difficulty, high reward! A meditative sort of game

    It’s the kind of puzzle game that leans more fantasy than real world physicality— and usually those annoy me with how unintuitive the solutions are— but this one keeps the difficulty low. Usually that would be boring BUT the visuals and music of this game are like a relaxing little movie! I particularly love Chinese aesthetics so this makes me so much more at peace than the typical steampunk look these games tend to have. I love being able to look around the rooms as well, and bounce between smaller puzzles. No intrusive hints or dialogue so I just get to enjoy it. Truly enjoying the beauty of this little game :)
