The daily affirmations featured in this app are written to align with the Centers for Spiritual Living (CSL) weekly global themes. Some past examples of these themes are “Leaning Into Perfection,” “Waking Up to Oneness,” and “Power to Create a Better World.” The CSL theme for the third week of August 2024 was “Let’s Talk About Sex, Baby” with the following summary: "Sex has always been a behind closed doors sort of topic, not one that is discussed in our spiritual communities. However, if there is no spot where God is not, that must mean It is behind those doors too! Let’s bring the conversation out into the open so that we can broaden our awareness and understanding. When we stop hiding sexuality away, we can start releasing shame, guilt, and ignorance about this completely natural and pleasurable experience!" The affirmations for that week ended with one that read: “I am a sexy, spiritual being!” Unfortunately, this user was offended by the global theme topic for that week, but the affirmations, in alignment with the Science of Mind and Spirit principles, are a recognition, celebration and utilization of the one, perfect Power that is ours to use. It is neither good, nor bad – it just is. We encourage all users of the app to keep an open mind when reading the affirmations. In the unlikely event that one does not resonate with you, simply set it aside and focus on the rest. Or, better yet, use it as an opportunity to take a deeper dive into the Science of Mind principles as there might be more than meets the eye.
