  • A must-have for all falconers!!!

First of all. This app is life changing, and every falconer needs it!!! I love it, been using it since its release.

And to the producer, here are a couple random Falconry Journal ideas that would be awesome to see:
Have a notification when your bird is on weight.
Maybe a widget on lock/home screen?
Have an option to change the preset 24 hour feeding schedule to 12 hours for each bird, or you can preset flying/feeding times? Having to change the dials every time I calculate for my micro is kind of annoying.
A "missed feeding" button would also be great. I miss logging a feeding every now and then and it messes up the program. Having a reset button would be awesome.

  • Please allow ounces for weight

It’s likely that half of us use ounces rather than grams, internationally. Only allowing weight and food metrics to be measured in grams is actually more irritating that it sounds - you’ll have to do the conversions yourself both in data entry and then interpreting the app’s results. Beyond that, I do enjoy the app and will probably continue to use it. The predictive capabilities are really cool and intuitive! Including a settings toggle for ounces/grams would be immensely useful, and I really hope in the future the developer is able to find a way to update this as a feature.

  • Great tool for falconry. Just try it!

This app is really great. Give it a shot, it’s well worth the small monthly fee. I was very happy with my own weight management practices until I saw someone use this at a meet. They used it to plan on how much to feed a bird 36 hours in advance of a hunt and when it came time to load up the truck it was correct within 2 grams. I downloaded it on the spot and never looked back. There’s regular updates and it just keeps getting better. Just try it!

  • Must have for micros!

This app should be considered a must for anyone flying small raptors, especially those that are new to it. It makes daily maintenance a breeze and gives me peace of mind by being able to track my bird’s weight at any time. I was skeptical at first and kept double checking the app’s hourly calculations with my own, but the app was right on the money every single time. Game changer!

  • Great

I love this app. It does exactly what I need in a very straightforward and simple way. I love that I can add a photo of my bird too!
  • Consider adding an optional alarm feature to turn on for the next feeding

App is great, however, it could be even better if it allowed to turn on a feature to sound an alarm for the next feeding, for those micromanaging (specially “micro-raptors”).
  • Should have a non-subscription option

I may be incorrect, but it seems to me the app’a description doesn’t mention the need for a monthly subscription to use the app until toward the end after a few paragraphs.

A simple app for tracking data about your bird and calculating weight loss and and the necessary weight of food is not worth 3 bucks a month. Id be willing to sacrifice the cloud storage and any social networking experience to just have the app and be able to track everything on my one device.

Perhaps have a limited feature option with a one time purchase fee?

    Developer Response

This app takes a considerable amount of time for me to develop, I am releasing this at a loss. Unfortunately a free version is out of the question.
  • Add “ounces” as a optional unit of weight

I love the app and everything it has to offer. I may be wrong but, I don’t think this app has the option to log weight in ounces. Here in the eastern United States, almost all red tailed hawk falconers use oz. Please add this feature if it hasn’t been already :)

    Developer Response

I considered this when I built this app, but after extensive testing I found that the precision of scales and the math done on floating numbers is not good enough to make a decent final product. Unless I find a way to work around this issue, I'll have to stick to grams. Hopefully that isn't too much of an inconvenience!
