Definitely worth a listen
I heard an interview on NPR about this station, and the aims and goals of this station were impressive. I downloaded the app and gave it a listen. I’m so glad I did, as I got the opportunity to listen to an interview between incarcerated people and the leadership in the prison and the change their committed to enacting. As someone who has worked in and volunteered in various US prisons, it was a breathe of fresh air. Best of luck to all those involved with this station and to those willing to flip the script for better outcomes. I’ll keep listening!Ciavyn2

Inside Wire: Colorado Prison Radio is the first statewide prison radio station in U.S. history. Inside Wire is a program of the University of Denver Prison Arts Initiative, beaming music, stories, news, and entertainment into prisons across Colorado… and broadcasting its sounds to listeners outside facilities as well, across the U.S. and beyond. Inside Wire programs are created for incarcerated listeners by incarcerated producers, who uphold the highest aesthetic and journalistic standards as they amplify the diverse voices, stories, and creations of those living and working inside the walls.
