An incessant bombardment of ads

I got this app to navigate long distance with my partner- sending widgets to each other just to feel a little more connected. I understand apps want to make money and sell their premium versions, even if I find a subscription model a little predatory, but this app goes beyond the occasional blocked feature. each and every time you open the app you are harassed by an advertisement AND a seemingly unskippable request for you to start the “free trial”. (An x shows up after a few seconds, but you would reasonably assume the whole app is paid at first blush).

Doing absolutely anything in the app brings you yet another ad, to the point I never have the desire to open it, which is a shame, because the widget doesn’t seem to update unless you reopen it.

I would gladly have paid a small one-time fee for an app like this for long distance, but this one has all the panache of downloading a virus on your phone.

Honest Review

I’ve been using the app since it’s release date , and i like the improvements they made to the app. I see people complaining about the subscription , i’m not sure if it’s still available but i purchased the one time payment for $30, and you and your partner would have the subscription after that , which is a good deal if available i suggest go with that. This app is really good i would recommend it for anyone that are in a long distance relationship like myself. The Only thing i would complain about is I don’t receive notifications from the app anymore, i made sure to check app notifications then my phone notifications setting and still no notifications appear hopefully they get this resolved but further more this app is pretty solid if you get the subscription to avoid all the ads pop ups and sending notes with everything available.

Me and my girlfriend got this app just today, we’re so obsessed with it !! It’s very good for long distance relationships and lets you have more connection with each other ! Me and my gf have sent each other so many notes, pictures, ETC !! That’s how fricking awesome it is !! Me and her were kinda scared because it took a while to download and we thought it wouldn’t be worth it, but it was so worth it !! 10/10 recommend for long distance bestFriends/boyfriends and girlfriends ! But can be also used for irl friends and etc. But it’s really nice ! The one complaint I have is me and my gf have to deal with so many ads but the app is amazing !!

Good premise, bad execution

The premise of the app is nice and i understand the necessity to monetize it. The problem arises when you add in premium exclusive features, constant ads, and a standard UI designed to irritate you into paying to upgrade. If the app took the approach of business like Canva who have premium features but still offer a good free experience it could be something cool. The problem is the free experience is not good enough to entice me to ever upgrade, instead causing me to stop using the app. Alternately, if you want to follow the ad based model that’s fine but then you must allow consumers more value.

This is good but the only down side js that you cannot do most things with a subscription with seem annoying. But this app works resllly well and I love using it

I LIKE IT!

The app overall is easy to use and the concept is quite adorable, however, due to the fact i have bad bad eyesight the fact you cant zoom in on the little drawing note page is VERY annoying, it is hard to draw anything because i cant see what im doing underneath my fingers either because the canvase is so small, i feel like we should be able to zoom in to make proper little drawings for our partners and friends.

I love this app

I love this app but there needs to be less adds because every time I try to do something a add pops up other than that this app it great for messing around with you friends/family I do recommend this app
