I’m writing this review and then deleting the app. It now allows only 5 guesses, not six like other similar Wordle-like puzzles. Why mess with success? This used to be my favorite app. It was always a challenge with my friends to see who could get it in the fewest guesses. Trying to tweak a winner is foolish. Goodbye!HB Ace
Five lines now?
I always enjoyed going Wordie every day. Recently there are only 5 lines instead of 6, and the colors have changed and now there are ads after 3 guesses. What happened?Susan loved Wordie
Why?
All the other games I play of this sort give me six chances to guess the word. Why did you change it to five ? Much less enjoyable now.Cape Cod Carol

I’ve been playing with a group for a couple years now and all of us are considering deleting the app and moving on to another similar app. With the annoyance of an ad break that is completely unnecessary after your third attempt is ridiculous. Also woke up today only to find that the colors have changed and now you only have 5 attempts instead of 6. Again another unnecessary change that makes this app no longer fun. I get that there are changes to be made, but when this app no longer matches it competing competitors for the worst I’m no longer interested in this game.

Ruined with ads!
My wife and I enjoy playing this game and sharing our results with each other in a friendly competition. Now you’ve went money hungry like everyone else and throwing in ads in after 3 guesses. I was accepting of it because you could skip the ads after 5 seconds.
TODAY I HAD 3 ADS AT A MINUTE EACH THAT WHERE NOT SKIPPABLE!!!!!!!!
It looks like it is time to find another game to play.Stop stealing from customers

Ads and new enhancement are making me consider stop using the app
I use the app everyday and share on Facebook and the recent update to include ads and the new user interface on the Facebook share is terrible
I guess in an effort to make money you had to make decisions to impact your users

Loved this game until…
I have been playing this game a long time. I loved it — until now. Now there’s an obnoxious “ad break” after three guesses and that just ruins it for me. These random loud ads are disruptive in an otherwise calm and peaceful game. Bring back the old version!!!!Kate PDX

We appreciate your review! We've added the Wordie Pro membership which removes ads for an extremely reasonable price. After 2 years and tens of thousands of new users it was finally necessary to find a way to pay for server and development costs, which is why we put ads in the app & created the pro membership.
