ClamQuest is a Choose Your Own Adventure application that teaches kids (and adults too) about financial literacy. ClamQuest addresses the need for financial education by engaging users with thought-provoking questions, appealing content, and simulated financial forms. Every day we are faced with financial choices. Do I want to buy a coffee? Can I afford to buy a new car? How I can save enough money to go to college? These decisions can be difficult to make. Exposure to this decision making process at an early age can contribute to confidence and skill building, ultimately, leading to healthy financial decisions when they really count. Lead your avatar through a myriad of choices that can impact your financial wealth. Helpful tools are available in the app to assist you in making the best decisions during your quest. These include: FINANCIAL TOOLS - Financial statements that keep track of your spending, assets, liabilities, income, and expenses - Over 100 financial terms defined, cross-referenced, and linked to content throughout the app - Money managing tips and more REALITY CHECK - Balance a checkbook - Sort needs and wants - Create a personalized budget - Build a simple journal entry - Calculate your payroll taxes - Estimate the cost to finance a car purchase CHALLENGE YOUR FRIENDS Earn achievements for successfully completing a challenge and share your accomplishment with friends and family. Challenge them to finish the quest with more clams (the equivalent of cash) in the bank.
