Cycling Guide shows you how by providing low-stress cycling routes that are great for people who would like to get around by bike but perhaps lack the experience, confidence, or knowledge to do so comfortably. Run errands to the store, ride to a park with your kids, and discover new places from the comfort of your bicycle. And have fun while doing so. Note that Cycling Guide can only provide routes for Waterloo Region and Guelph, Ontario, Canada. Other areas will come in the future.

Solid biking app for the region
Appreciate that it indicates what type of biking routes are available (separated, painted lane, in street, etc) and that bike parking locations are being added as well. It does occasionally try to route me down a path with stairs in it, but that may be due to the open data quality that the app is pulling from, and the app creators are happy to take feedback and resolve the pathing issues.

Makes my rides more comfortable
I’ve been using this app for about a year or so and I like it a lot. It allows me to choose between routes depending on ride complexity, distance and time. So when I want to chill, I can choose the longest and easiest one, and when I want to be fast, I can choose the shortest one but it is likely to be harder. I know it has some issues and limitations, but I’m sure the developers are working hard on it.

Best bike routing yet!
I’ve been using Cycling Guide for a few months now and it has been simply amazing. The local contributions that Cycling Guide Foundation makes to OpenStreetMap means the routes are accurate, reliable, and consistently better than Google! They are truly the highlight feature. The stress levels are excellent for novices and experienced cyclists alike and I can’t wait to see the app evolve as they continue to develop new features. Would definitely recommend!
