  • Has a lot of potential, but too many problems to make it usable

When I found out about this app, I got super excited and immediately downloaded it. However, even when I was creating an account, I started to encounter problems. When I would go to enter my email, it would say “not valid email” and then stay like that for ~5 seconds before letting me through. I can ignore that, it let me through. If that was the only problem then i would still give 5 starts.

But, I tried updating my profile with extracurriculars and experience, and when I finished and clicked save, it kept saying “saving” for 5 minutes and never saved. Now I have to retry all over again just for it to either work or not even work. I haven’t even gotten to apply to any jobs yet because my profile isn’t updated.

Please fix these bugs, it is hindering it’s usability by a significant margin. How am I supposed to apply for internships when I can’t even update my profile? Isn’t that the main stuff I want my potential employers to see??

Overall, very good concept for an app for college students, but these issues are holding it back significantly. Would have been 5 stars without it, i love the beautiful aesthetics on this app.
  • So. Buggy.

Could’ve been a great application, but after spending 20 minutes trying to update my major on the app only for it to revert back every single time…I give up. Great idea, but so frustrating to use.

Update: Lol, my major finally updated but at the expense of the entirety of my profile wiping itself clean. I don’t care enough to remake it either. One star, man. Good luck.
  • Won’t move past the assessment..

I was looking forward to my results to see what careers it would suggest, but sadly for me my matches wouldn’t load. I tried closing the app and taking the assessment again but even still it won’t show me my results.
  • Couldn’t start, bad technical issues

App works very slowly with a several second lag on touch detection.

App kept saying emails I entered were “invalid” even though I checked them each time.

After waiting several minutes finally able to progress passed email and name entry window to the next window. Which was one I saw before where I was asked to select the reason I was using the app. Twice more I was circled back through that window through a cycle of other basic info entry, with enormous delay to touch screen input.

If this is going to be the rest of the app experience, no way am I putting myself through that stress when similar apps exist.

Fix your app. It’s not ready for public use.
  • Interesting concept

I really like the concept, how you can rate it, all the information it gives you and how it links videos of people in those careers. What I don’t like is how limited the options are. After you choose a few strengths/skills you only get a few careers to look at when there’s a bunch more Im interested in learning about but I can’t because I’m stuck to those 4. If there is a way to look at others, please let me know!
  • Not opened for Nigerians

I’m a Nigerian boy who’s trying to meets end needs but can’t even have access to this opportunity
I’ll be glad if the developers can let me have access
  • The app is limited

This app seems to take for granted that the user wants a career in IT or data management/analysis...things of that nature...but then I guess that's the kind of job that college prepares one for. I currently have a job working with my hands, with hand and power tools, building cutting-edge machinery, and I love it, and I wanted to see if this app would have found me something like that, but mechanical work like that, that's literally hands-on, doesn't seem to be an option with this app; only work that's figuratively hands-on. That's too bad. I'm crazy about my work and my company and this app would never have found them for me because it simply doesn't consider the kind of work I do...maybe because colleges don't either?

    Developer Response

Thanks for the feedback. Our product is intended for college students selecting careers and preparing for the modern workforce. Our app is free for students. Companies leverage our platform to hire interns and grads, so the careers we match students with align with what top companies are looking for. The world is becoming more tech-enabled and specialized so we're helping students learn what colleges unfortunately do not teach. These are the things that get them hired. For the record, we match students to tech and non-tech roles based on their interests. Your selections likely matched you to IT and data analysis roles. As we continue to grow, we'll work on matching non-college bound students to careers that do not require a degree. Appreciate the feedback!
  • Surprisingly useful!

Wasn't sure what to expect. Good for learning about careers and how to get jobs and internships.
  • Hits Different than most job apps

Job stuff is always so spammy - I see you indeed - PathMatch feels like it is actually trying to help me. I've learned a lot and have a few different jobs paths that I want to explore. No one at PathMatch is trying to force anything on me or tell me what to do - I am just getting cool options to explore. 100.
  • Yesssssss. Love PathMatch!

My boyfriend suggested PathMatch after I had my 4,000th breakdown about not knowing what to do after graduation. The results were actually pretty good and helped me realize I have some skills that companies might actually want. I was able to get an internship for the Fall and hope I can use the networking tips I learned to get one for the Spring too. Beyond blessed to have found Pathmatch.
