Reviews of Tap Master

  • Lost a star

To be clear, this is probably the best of the tap block games.

The pros: plenty of different skins to choose from once you gain some coins to buy them; once you pay to remove ads you can play uninterrupted; there are no limits on the number moves it takes to complete a puzzle (that’s a big pro, thank you devs); there are no repeated interruptions that make you tap a “special” block that makes you sit through ridiculous animations before letting you get back to the game; there is relaxing music in the background; you can change the skins you have as often as you want (some are very helpful for the HUGE puzzles 😉).

The constructive criticism: the “watch ad remove 3 blocks” button should be moved to the side of the screen, it’s location covers part of the puzzle so people hit it accidentally (if that’s the dev’s intent, it’s not a good look) and it’s worse when you have zoom in; there is no option to turn off the music or the sound effects so you cannot listen to your own music while playing; the longer you play the more coins it takes to get another skin (250,000 coins for one skin? wow); the puzzle pieces do something but it’s not clear what they’re for or how many are needed to do whatever it is they do.

I see many reviews with similar comments/concerns, so hopefully the developer is listening. It is worth paying to remove ads, but I can’t give it five stars today.
  • -1 💫 Ad traps and no explanation of how to play

While I love the concept and excelled quickly there are options and puzzles connected to the cube elimination game that I never learned what to do with them. You find a puzzle piece hidden in each cube puzzle that goes to complete one of several other 2D puzzles. Once you have completed one of these puzzles you earn a colorful cube… not sure what or how the coins are accumulated or how the cubes earned correlate to the coins and cube block puzzles. Then there is a paint and infinity option. Idk if I purchased paint with coins or cubes or puzzle pieces… but it changed the whole look of the original puzzle and made it much easier to complete by showing me which blocks to tap to delete. Now I was going faster but not as challenging. Wish there was some tutorial or guide to show how to play so I wouldn’t tap on options I don’t want.
If you have a weakness to quitting challenging games don’t get hooked on this one!!!!
The worst part is the ads. They pop up and immediately if you are a fast tapper take you to either an App Store or their website or both. I spent more time closing each of these tabs or pages to get back to the game and would loose my place when on a good trail of deleting cubes. I guess that is their plan to get you so frustrated with the ads that you will pay them to play ad free. Not me… I’m out. 🎤 💨
  • Best of the tap block games

Love the game. Very straightforward, just a great way to relax and solve each puzzle. A lot of different color themes to choose from. It’s worth it to pay extra to remove ads so you can just play puzzle after puzzle without interruption. I have two suggestions for the developers. First, make the block easier to turn, meaning, turn left to right, up and down. Right now it’s on some sort of circular axis so it’s hard to tell if you’re working on a side you’ve already done, and it’s nearly impossible to straighten it out. Second, the huge square block repeats too often. It’s big and takes a long time to solve, so it’s nice to get a break from it for a while with different shapes. Otherwise, great game. Thank you!
