I recently evaluated Cool App Messenger and identified several concerning issues. The app leverages open-source code from Signal without appropriate attribution, which is a clear violation of open-source licensing principles. Despite claiming to have been “developed” over the course of three years, it’s evident that the core functionalities are borrowed directly from Signal’s codebase. This misrepresentation of the development process undermines the integrity of the app. Such practices not only breach open-source community standards but also cast doubt on the app’s overall trustworthiness and commitment to security. Users should be wary of these discrepancies before adopting Cool App Messenger.
