  • Best Elden Ring Companion hands down

I don’t normally write reviews, but there are a lot of bad elden ring maps and trackers out there. This is not one of them.

I found the browser version of this app after growing tired of a certain other popular elden ring map… It didn’t scale with markers, and locations were not very accurate.

This map is perfect. Whoever works as MapGenie is doing a great job. Personally, I paid the $5 for full access within an hour of using the browser version. It’s just that good. I normally don’t even use maps or trackers for games, but elden ring is much more fun with it in my opinion.

There are a couple reasons I feel this project doesn’t yet deserve 5 stars:
    1. The UI - it’s a bit too simple and unrefined looking. minimal is good, but i feel it’s a little clunky to navigate in menus etc.
    2. Item / Boss info. - Drops are usually all that is mentioned for bosses. Items only have their specific location described. I think it would be really great to have info like weakness, effects, etc. included— even if it means paying to unlock it. Having an all-in-one app would be amazing. I could see it being really successful.

As long as you understand what you’re getting: a detailed map, precise locations, tons of filters, checklists, and the ability to leave notes, you’ll be very pleased. This is not an encyclopedia for elden ring.

It’s free. Give it a try.
