I have been using the new BOM app for ~3 months now and it has been too much trouble to justify using anymore. For context I’m a 23 y/o who is pretty good with tech, so I can only imagine the headache it is causing my fellow BOM customers who are not as tech savvy.
The biggest complaint I have at the moment is, I am being barred from logging in because the app immediately asks me to “set up a delivery method” and then once all my info is entered it responds with:
“Unable to Complete Request
Operation failed”
Another bug that has been persistent is the “remember me” feature on the login page. It has never worked, so each time I try to login I am forced to renter my password rather than using Fingerprint or FaceID (biometric authentication is the future and much more secure!!)
Last gripe is the account transaction view. Instead of a simple list sorted top to bottom, newest -> oldest, it only lets you view one month at a time and I can only see transactions from months when I’ve had the app downloaded… desktop online banking still has all transactions but I’m using my phone because I don’t carry a computer in my pocket.
I know the people at BOM care deeply about helping their customers and serving the community so I’m sad to see an app that doesn’t reflect those values. Hopefully all will be resolved soon, this may be the first feedback they have received.
