Description of Woods Board

The Woods Board app is the one and only app designed to connect you to the Woods Board training board. With this app, you can create an account to access the entire database of climbs made for the Woods Board. This app allows you to connect to any Woods Board control box and light up any route via Bluetooth. The Woods Board climbs follow a Standard system to generate a universal grade system for all climbs. What does the app do? - Allow access to view and create any climb to submit to the official Woods Board database - Log your sends of Woods Board climbs - Personalize your own account information - Specify specific climb rules for climbs you publish Our goal for the Woods Board app is to create a platform based around community involvement and interaction. We hope to foster an individual user experience based on interaction between you and the community. With the leaderboard (weekly and all-time) system, we hope to encourage a competitive and refreshing dynamic between users. Additionally, our goal with the playlist system is to enable user personalization for enjoyment and training purposes. Our filtering system includes the option to filter by: hold, author, climb type, wall angle, grade, and more. Note: The Woods Board app is still in a developmental stage. Updates with more interactable content (e.g. leaderboard system, account following, playlist creation, and much more) will be released over the next year. We plan to add an intuitive and specific filtering system to cater your climb library to your specifications shortly.

  • Absolutely love this board. It’s held back by the app

This is the best training board available. Hands down. Unfortunately, this app makes it really difficult to use. With the pace of app development, I just do not see it ever being capable of doing all the things it needs to do. Have you guys thought about switching to the Aurora app? It has its limitations, but it is an overall great app. It would be such a major improvement. Please consider it. It would add value to the existing boards and they would immediately get more use. Every person who uses my board complains about the app and raves about the board.

  • App needs work.

The app is so full of spelling errors that one might think a Nigerian prince is offering to give away millions of dollars.
  • Board is great but app needs work

The woods board is my favorite board i’ve climbed on so far. But the app needs some work. Currently, there is no way for multiple people to connect at the same time, so one person will need to disconnect in order to switch users. You also cannot save climbs yet, but that seems to be being worked on. Additionally, the board freezes and you have to restart it when you are creating new climbs, which is a little annoying. Overall, the board is great and i am looking forward to more!
