It is possible depending on the setup that simply not enough data points exist for the device to establish enough context to measure. Without more information we can only speculate. App doesn't appear to do anything at all. You can take a picture but there's no way to interact with it after that. Other apps work much better for sure.zandergraphics

Measured the diameter of an object using this App and compared it to Apple’s own built in free Measure App.
Apple’s app was right on 2.5”. This App - 5”… go figure… lol.
BTW the way it performed the measurement it looks very much like Apple’s Measure App, only it miscalculated the result by a factor of two!!!Show lessYC$&@

This is absolutely an amazingly accurate app that is very convenient within a few clicks (or more) in a single picture taken will accurately measure whatever object you desire to inquire/obtain measurements of. I did not even need to read the directions or view the tips to figure out how to properly use this app. Basically what I’m saying is it is very self-explanatory. This is absolutely the best tape measuring app. I’ve used this far in his absolutely worth the price of $39.99/year. If I have the financial means to purchase this app after the free 3-Day Trial I will absolutely be purchasing this app. This is a must have apps, especially for mechanics, who tend to forget their tools at home, or are very good at losing their tools. If you fit into the category of one of these people like myself, who tend to forget things easily due to whatever your reasoning, such as mine personally being severe ADHD, I highly recommend that you purchase this app, of course, after the free 3-Day Trial.
