great, but I hate how you can only view 256 bytes if you didn’t pay
:(
Most underrated hex editor
I don’t know why there’s bad reviews this is really good.

Works as intended
Read the title.

Thank you!
Can’t really test without purchasing
Unless you pay to unlock it, it only shows the first 256 bytes of any file.
Pity as without being able to test it properly, it’s a Delete from me.

Don't make things up! This is enough to test all functionality.
Works very well
Great app

Thank you!
So far so good
This is to be honest the best free one. I could do what I needed to do. This is pretty good. All I would say is to make getting the file after editing easier.

Starting with the 1.12 version there is an embedded HTTP Server. So you can access your files through Web Browser now from any computer in your local network.
Good enough
UI is easy to read and navigate. I only have a fee grievances:
- A lot of settings (endianness, row size, radix) could probably be moved to a separate config menu.
- Tab duplicate/unpin/trash would be better as a tooltip, not a drag-and-drop.
- “Insert mode” keyboard isn’t scaled properly.
It’s pretty ridiculous that I have to pay a monthly subscription to use a simple hex editor. There are thousands of free desktop apps and websites which do the exact same thing. I don’t blame you, though.
With the whole $99/year indie dev fee, it’s only natural that the Apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
