Love Hate! More and more HATE!

Don’t get me wrong I love this game it was definitely developed really well with so much attention to detail in every bit of the game and just as much fun as playing the board game itself BUT when I first downloaded this game a year ago and I loved it. If you played the game daily you’d be able to level up and get stickers you’d need. You’d do good and be able to complete events if your putting time into the game. Even complete albums! As the year has gone on things became much harder to accomplish like completing an album. Is basically impossible even with playing daily multiple times a day. Next thing you could no longer complete was plinko. You could get close but now it’s hard to even get to level 4. Now it’s partner events I always team up with people that I know and we can get thousands of spins and we always get the lowest numbers every time. It seems like odds are better if you pay real money for things is what some people have said which is to bad it’s not also rewarded to people who put their time into playing a game they love. it seems like odds on everything in the game has just gone downhill to that point it’s not fun anymore. I’m hoping something can be done to fix this to make it fun again!

Let me start off by saying I love playing this game. I’ve been playing for over a year now and this is pretty much the only game I play on my phone. I enjoy the mindless clicking for the most part. I however do not spend money on this game. I have spent a couple dollars here and there but you will never find me dumping money into the monopoly go app. Saying all that- I think about deleting this game off my phone multiple times a week. As I said I’ve played for over a year-I have never once completed an entire sticker album. There is no reason it’s so difficult to get new stickers. I feel like the longer I’ve played it’s just become even more rare to keep getting new stickers. I rarely ever complete the community chest either. It’s been months since I’ve opened the chest-I honestly can’t even remember the last time. The events are ridiculously difficult as well. For example the partners building one-I have never once been able to finish all 4. Sometimes when I first get on for the day it takes me over 100 dice to just land on a shield spot to restore your shields. There are so many frustrating/annoying aspects to this game it almost makes it not worth it. So if you’re not looking for a game that you just mindlessly click to pass time, then look elsewhere. This is not a game to get invested in.

Don’t start playing this game and save yourself from the inevitable frustration that comes with playing.

I’ve played this game for over a year and as you play the game they keep making changes that make the game worse. There used to be a guaranteed sticker pack-they got rid of it. You used to be able to get a wild sticker in the highest vault-they removed it. The dig game used to be 20 levels-now it’s 25. There used to be 10 minute high roller, gold chance cards, and roll match rewards in the partner event-they removed all three. There used to be high roller twice a day every day-not anymore. They changed the bank heights and people got months of money they saved stolen. There used to be 3 pink packs you could get in every top event-now most of the season you can only get 2. You used to be able to use strategy to get in lower bracket tournaments. They reduced the amount of stickers in the green pack making it harder to open a vault. There’s even more but as someone who used to play this game know it is designed to pressure you to spend money. I understand an app needs to spend money but the prices are ridiculous. If you spend money on a sticker pack, you have a chance of getting a sticker you need with no guarantee you will get it. If you have plenty of spare money to waste then this is the game for you, otherwise don’t bother.

Also I have to keep resubmitting my negative review because it keeps being deleted. Says a lot about Scopely.

Deleting.. money grab

Please delete my game. I have asked and it’s still not deleted. No one will respond to me. You are banning people for cheating but you guys are the biggest cheaters. Why aren’t the rolls random? You can sit here and claim they are but if they actually were how are people knowing what number they are gonna roll next? Because it’s not random. It’s predetermined. If they were truly random people wouldn’t beable to cheat. That’s your way of cheating and making sure people don’t complete events and sticker sets and albums. If the dice didn’t cost so much and it didn’t take so much dice to complete the events maybe people wouldn’t cheat. Good luck in the future with this game because without apm players how are non apm players gonna finish sets, albums and partner events? They won’t because who do you think helps them? That’s right-us cheaters. Not you guys. They will eventually stop playing too cause they won’t beable to progress anymore. You’re also making the side bar and top bar harder to complete, Taking away stickers in sticker packs, giving more and more duplicate stickers. Many of my friends and family would have never completed 1 album or completed any partner event if I didn’t “cheat” because it’s impossible to do so without spending lots of money. I understand you need to make money but the prices are outrageous. 50$-100$ for a wild sticker. You are out your freaking mind. Stop ripping people off and maybe people won’t cheat!!!!

I’ve been playing this a few days now, via a game testing app

And I’m really impressed so far. You can get plenty of play time without endless requests and pop ups to spend real money. However when you do run out of dice or money — the pop ups aren’t obnoxious or relentless — in fact the deals are legit. You get a lot of decent game play for the real money apparently. But it’s not like you can’t play without spending real cash, because you definitely can, and for quite some time. The graphics are tight without slowing, and the characters are ridiculously cute. London is the second city you go to on a monopoly world tour, and omg, there is little Queens in teal blue outfit with giant hat, there’s Bobbie’s in traditional uniform, there’s Royal guard in tall furry hats, but best of all is the little punks, with green Mohawks and red kilts! They’re all so adorable, and when you get a bunch of good rolls in a row they start pogo’ing all together in the center of the board! Punks and the Queen start hopping around together, and yeah, this game is adorable and fun, and playable without a ton of ads, actually there’s very few ads overall and that’s so refreshing. It’s probably the best part! So definitely worth the download. Have fun! Oh and God Save the Queen! lol

I started playing in March and it was very fun for me. I was able to finish 2 albums and complete the events such as the diggers event, partnering events, and the racing one when they introduced it. I didn’t really need much dice and I liked that about it. But recently, they did so much updates and changes that it’s no longer playable, especially for people who spend little to no money on a game and only play for fun. They claim it’s from players feedback but I don’t think so. I can’t finish events anymore, i can’t even place in side events anymore either. I use to be able to finish at least top 10 but now I’ve been in top 30 with 1,000 meanwhile the TOP 20 is at 10,000+. Why am I getting put into that when I never even got that high in the side events? Also I use to be able to reach blue packs and now those seem nonexistent to me. I don’t think I’ll able to finish this marvels album. I always only see green, yellow, and pink packs that almost always are 1 or 2 star duplicates. On top of all of this, I needed shields so I start spinning on x5 with about 400 dice and not once did I land on a shield. Also the recent update lowered everyone’s net worth and didn’t get rewards they were close too. In one of the quick wins, there was a token but almost everyone got that token from the daily free dice links from a few weeks before and instead of replacing with a different token, they gave us an EMOJI??? Ridiculous.

Bored and a con!

So I have already written to them and complained about some things that have occurred only to have the team not read the complaint and send a pre typed reply. But now I can’t even win yhe quick wins! I need a bank heist but in the last 24hrs what a coincidence it’s all shut downs! The quick win before that needed to land on a community chest, what a shock never landed on them with my 425 dice! You never get all 9people on community chest wins. The cards are a joke, you don’t get new ones often and when they give a higher star rated card you can guarantee you’ve already got it, oh and that everyone else playing it has it also! If you manage to get close to completing, you get gold locked! There were glitches, bad ones, where they said they would do compensation but when you chase them for it suddenly they don’t do that!!! Unfortunately complaining to them when something does go wrong you get nothing back as they don’t read the issue. Why would I email, you don’t read the messages you get on the chat?

It’s a chore now

There no end goal to the actual game. The boards go on forever, e.g. I am on board 429 and it’s been the exact same loop of boards the whole way up. There’s no “reach the end and you get dice or rewards” it just goes on forever, the only real goal is completing an album which last for 3 months ish. So it gets monotonous, and because the game only releases certain cards at certain points in the game depending on how far along the album is, you can’t complete the album any quicker, and if you do, you have to wait for the new one to come out to get “excited” or for a change in the game. The mini games also get a bit boring, the theme just changes every time but the game is still the same as when it first came out. I find myself playing it just to do the daily tasks which are a CHORE. Because there’s no point spending all your dice at the beginning of an album for eg. Because they don’t release higher started cards in regular packs until it’s close to the album ending. It really is just getting a chore, I only play it so I can collect duplicate cards for my friends, that’s if I’m lucky.

So much effort to be gold locked!

I enjoyed this game so much! It was fun earning the stickers, trading them and meeting new players in the process. You get excited when you’re close to completing the album.. Then you get Gold-Locked!! I need 5 Gold stickers to complete my album. Every gold sticker I earn from a pack is a dupe of one I already have. You can’t trade them. When a golden blitz comes it’s not the card you need, or no one will send you one. And if you’ve already missed a golden blitz for a card you need then you stand no chance at all. You then realise the only hope of completing the album is to spend money.. And to me that’s not playing a game to win and earn the win. That’s just cheating and buying your way into winning. I put a lot of time and effort into getting where I am. To be totally locked and it’s really not fair. Even the dupe golds you have you can’t send to your friends to help them out either, they’re just sat there being pointless. As opening the star vault is a waste because you just end up getting dupes, so you may as well leave it to convert into dice for the next one. Which in honesty I think I give up at this point. The frustration is too much. At least let the players that have put time and effort into playing stand a chance of success with their album. Don’t try to force us into spending money. It won’t work it will just make you lose players.
