However, you barely get ten seconds of straight gameplay before you are hit with an unskippable video ad. I tried turning off my Wi-Fi to combat this, however the game literally does not function without access to the internet. Although the game seems at first glance to be a multiplayer game, it’s obviously just you versus a computer, so there’s no functionality reason why the Wi-Fi would have to be turned on. However, you know what can’t run with cellular data or Wi-Fi? Ads. This game makes you keep your internet connection on so it can bombard you with ads. This is absolutely disgusting and it’s deplorable how so many games are like this now. I understand a little strip ad running along the bottom or top of the screen while you’re playing, but to completely stop the app from running to fill the entire screen with an ad for another obnoxious, crappy mobile game is absolutely unnecessary and very cash-grabby. Do not install. Do not fill these people’s pockets with YOUR hard earned money that they do not deserve and did not work for.
