  • Better than EA by a country mile

I believe this is the first and probably only review I’ll ever leave on the App Store, but I felt so compelled to let it be known how incredible this simulation is. I spent hours playing the first app, but this one has to be the best hockey manager sim I’ve ever played, and I’ve tried them all on the App Store and on Steam. I cannot stress enough how in depth and addictive this game is, and my hat is off to the developer. I’ve never had so much fun with a phone game before.

  • Good Game, but could use some improvements.

This is a game I like, don’t get me wrong. It’s restricted most of the features I like to use. Obviously it’s okay to paywall some of the more overpowered options, but I don’t think adjusting the goals would warrant it. I recommend people play the first game, despite it being slightly outdated.
  • Great game if not for the UX

I enjoy playing this game a lot, though some of the UX/UI choice really make it cumbersome to navigate quickly. Things like right-swipe actually take you out of the game entirely rather than moving back to the prev. menu (reaching up to hit the left arrow can be annoying). Some menus you must swipe down to close. Also context is missing, would be great to chose who yo resign from the depth chart, rather than jump back and forth between menus. Also, intentionally marking a player as “will not resign” can help get rid of the clutter during the offseason before free agency. In general thoughI’ve had a lot of fun with this game and hope it continues to get updates in game depth and UX.
