I normally don’t write app reviews but I have to say that this is by far the best widget creator app on the App Store. It’s simple and you don’t have ads being smacked in your face every time you try and do something. As a matter of fact, ads aren’t even a reason to go premium. Premium is valuable for the features that it provides such as weather and air quality widgets. That’s a good marketing move. I like when apps don’t rely on ads to annoy people into purchasing something. If an app is so good then the premium features should be enough to convince someone to buy a premium subscription not because of ads. This app succeeds in that department and much more.
One suggestion, I hope that the developer would add a section to create custom icons for Siri Shortcuts. All that would need to be done is give the ability to create an image with the ability to use custom colors and have access to a gallery of icons. Then, when done, the image could be saved on the device. (The image should also be saved on Widgetsmith so that the photo won’t stand out like a sore thumb in the Photos app) Afterwards, the user could create the shortcut in the Siri Shortcut app and apply the image made in the Widgetsmith app to the icon. This way the developer is not making the shortcut but is assisting the user to make the icon while Siri Shortcuts does all the work. I would love to see the developer tackle this because they do a great job on the basic app itself while other apps are just plain terrible and even making a simple widget. Plus, to have all this in one app would be amazing.
