ML Calendar 2024 is the app containing multilingual calendar of three languages i.e. English, Punjabi and Hindi, for the year 2024. It is intended to provide users, important dates about Nanakshahi Calendar (as per SGPC) and General dates of festivals, important events, mainly prevalent in Punjab and its neighbouring states of India.
Main Features:
1. Simple to use with a user friendly interface.
2. No requirement of internet for calendar use. Internet is required for listening live kirtan and to access support URL and privacy policy URL
3. Displays full month dates in normal as well as Punjabi months.
4. Has two modes like Nanakshahi and General to display important dates.
5. Easy to change the calendar language into either English or Punjabi or Hindi Language.
6. Audio player to listen live kirtan from Sri Harmandir Sahib, Amritsar.
App user instructions:
For Calendar
As the user installs and runs the app first time, he is prompted to choose the language from English or Punjabi or Hindi. After tapping next button, user navigates to the main calendar page displayed in chosen language. The calendar displays the current month and current date (highlighted in pink colour). The important dates list can be scrolled up/down to view all dates. User can change the mode of calendar into Nanakshahi or General by tapping the buttons provided at bottom of the screen. User can also view the calendar and important dates of any month by using the horizontally scrolling 'Months menu' at the top of calendar. User can change the calendar language at any time by tapping 'Select Language' button and selecting desired language i.e. English, Punjabi or Hindi.
For the purpose of contacting the developer or viewing the app's privacy policy, user can tap the 'Info' button at the bottom of main screen. User can use appropriate button for 'Contact Us' or 'Privacy Policy'. Please note that internet connection is not required for the functioning of app, however it is required for accessing 'Contact Us' and 'Privacy Policy' URLs.
For Live Kirtan
For listening to live kirtan, user phone should be connected to internet. User can play the live kirtan by tapping the yellow button on top left of the screen. As the user taps the play button, a "Wait" label with activity indicator, shall appear on the right side of play button. When the channel is ready, the "Wait" label and activity indicator shall disappear and a green label marked "Playing" shall appear in its place. Also a yellow alert with text "Live Kirtan from Sri Harmandir Sahib", will also appear for short duration.
There may be case sometimes that due to some technical problem at kirtan source, the kirtan may not be available. User can wait till the technical problem is resolved.
Important:
If there is disruption in the internet connection while live kirtan is being played, there shall be a screen alert to indicate internet error. In that case, user should close the app, connect to internet and restart the app. Only then live kirtan shall be available.
