Helpful for interoception and autistic burnout prevention

Helps me identify the physical indicators that contribute to burnout and like that I can add other factors that influence functional capacity. Would like the app a lot better if my logs were synced across devices and Apple Watch compatible.

Pacing can be tricky… this can help!

How can an app know so much!? It’s amazing how good it is at reading your HRV and giving advice on how you’re tracking. I just spent some time chatting with Emma from support also and she was incredibly helpful. Thank you for such a useful app, pacing just got easier!

Long covid game changer

I'm now 26 months from date of covid infection. The first 12 months I was repeatedly told to "pace". However, as an endurance cyclist, I defined that by cutting back... and had several severe flares- and er visits. In desperation I found VISIBLE ~ and was FINALLY able to PACE, based on a daily points based energy allowance , which was designed specifically for me after using it for 4-5 days. With pacing I learned to PRIORITIZE my actions and eliminate all non essentials. I made slow steady progress (and also used holistic services). 26 months from Covid infection I am now Healthy and Active again. I'm cycling up to 3 hours with no PEM. I consider my self "over" covid, but continue using this app to STAY healthy, and continue assessing my symptoms and energy levels~ I am GRATEFUL for the app, and the very caring staff that answers even my most brain fogged questions with help and sincerity ~

We like the phrase 'game changer'! Thank you for your review, we're grateful for you taking the time and energy to leave one!

A game changer that I highly recommend

I have lived with POTS for years and now can track different symptoms which is a powerful tool. I no longer have a vague sense of what happens to my body but can quantify it for myself and my health practitioners. Being able to get a morning prediction of HRV means I can adjust my daily activities and so I am managing my POTS for the first time and no longer feel that it is controlling me. And it is free!

Game changer

I'm bedbound with long covid and because my only physical activity is going to the toilet I didn't have high hopes for visible. I wrongly thought there wouldn't be much to capture with my heart rate since most of my activity is mental. Visible has helped me to finally find my baseline.

I've had the app and armband for a month and I've learned so much about my body and my capacity. Eating and chatting both use lots of my energy, and from one day to the next the same task can have a really different impact on my energy and heart rate.

I was already pacing carefully before I had visible and was frustrated to still experience crashes when I couldn't identify any trigger. With visible, I can see that some days my heart rate is simply much higher and my body is out of balance - but I feel normal, so I'd never have realised that I need to limit my activity more. As a result I've already avoided 3 crashes in the last month.

Obviously visible is a tool (the best tool I've come across) and it can't do the work of pacing for you. And not every type of exertion will affect your heart rate, so you still have to be careful with things like emotional and sensory exertion. But it's transformed my experience of long covid and I'm already making small improvements as a result.

Finally something to remind to take a break…

I’ve been using Visible for a few months now and honestly it’s helped me so much… I’m terrible about listening to my body when I get in the zone, with The Visible App and armband I get a notification on my watch and or phone that snaps me out of that zone and reminds me to sit down and rest… Since I have a higher than normal HR I love that I can set my own zones that work for me… Even better the app LEARNS, it uses the information it collects to give me more accurate HR zones so it’s tailored to me and giving me real time info… The only downside is my doctors haven’t heard of Visible so I have to explain it to them when I hand them sheets of data it’s collected, but i’ll say they’ve all been pleasantly surprised… The ability to track so many things in one place while also recording HR data and energy used to help make connections is huge and it’s helped me a lot!!!

What a lovely review and hopefully more doctors will have heard of Visible in the future! Great to hear of your success in using the app and being able to pace yourself better as a result. Thanks so much!

Extremely useful in monitoring energy

I’ve been using the Visible app for about six weeks now and I really recommend it if you have an energy limiting illness ( in my case ME/CFS.). It has enabled me to stay within my capacity, and has prevented me from getting worse and is even helping me to get a little better. Previously to using the arm band and app, I hadn’t realised how much rest I needed during the day , and Visible has helped me to to identify what activities stress my body most (for example, even simple things like walking upstairs 😯), and when I’ve rested enough to compensate for overdoing things. It’s also given me the courage to walk ( albeit slowly) in the countryside …..one of my favourite things to do… and I know that if I keep my eye on the app it’ll tell me if I’m in danger of overdoing it. I’m so delighted to have come across this device-plus-app , and am impressed by the open and ready communication with the team at Visible. I highly recommend getting the two things, the armband and the app. They provide an objective measurement in real time in a situation when direct feedback has stopped working (it’s only days after over exertion that I usually get feedback, the typical hallmark of “post exertion malaise”).
Visible provide “extras” too, such as breathing exercises, blogs, monthly summaries etc. Very useful. And also ….. it doesn’t cost the earth.

Thank you so much for this detailed and thoughtful review! We’re thrilled to hear that Visible has made such a positive difference in managing your ME/CFS, helping you stay within your capacity and even make progress. We’re also so glad to hear it’s given you the confidence to enjoy walks in the countryside again, while keeping an eye on your energy levels to prevent overdoing it. Thank you for highly recommending the app and armband! Wishing you continued strength, balance, and more peaceful walks in the countryside!

No longer feel INVISIBLE

I have been bedridden 90% of my life for the past 5 years. Not only do I have “invisible” illnesses such as fibro, pots, chronic fatigue/pain & the list goes on but I have a rare connective tissue disorder…Dercums Disease which zaps my energy & keeps me around a pain level of 8-12 daily. my body cannot process toxins (my lymphatic system does not work properly). Because of these being “invisible” illnesses… this journey has been so difficult and quite lonely, but I also have not been able to pace myself or get a handle on these symptoms. Visible has literally brought my symptoms/illnesses to light- my family now can see what I am talking about or what I’m having a problem with. The notifications actually give me a heads up when needed…to rest or that I am becoming “over exerted”… the few seconds of getting that notification and sitting down change everything-I mean everything!!! Tracking illnesses/symptoms versus tracking fitness for those of us who are ill is so important. I cannot stress that this may be the best tool for illnesses, such as ours. I am grateful beyond words, and I hope to be a part of spreading the word!!!!

This was a truly lovely read to hear about how much Visible has helped with everything. Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us. We will continue to advocate for tracking illness, not fitness and helping members like yourself manage invisible illnesses!

So helpful. A central part of my health.

I have been using visible for many months. And I use it daily. It helps me get centered in the morning and plan my day realistically. It also helps me see when I’m pushing myself too much or too far. There is a price to pay when I do and Visible helps me avoid that so long as I’m not too hard headed.

I love the symptoms tracking. It forces me to be attentive by reporting once a day where I’m at. Again helps pay closer attention, a great way to ensure better self-care which I wasn’t very good at prior to using Visible.

The deep breathing exercises feature are one of my favorite thing. I have been doing deep breathing meditation for 20 years, but could never be very regular and had major gaps. Now, with Visible I do visually or music-guided deep breathing exercises daily if not twice daily. And it really helps me and my heart.

I suffer from severe fatigue from multiple conditions including heart disease, spine issues, pain, glucose issues, to only name a few. Visible is a game-changer for me. What an amazing creation. Brilliant, really. I love the heart monitor I received when I subscribed. It too helps guide me throughout the day.

The support is also great and they are making useful improvements regularly. Visible helps me be productive and I cannot be thankful enough. It’s also a very reasonable cost-wise.

Helping me to be kind to myself.

I ve really struggled with my Me/cfs I ve been stuck in a boom and bust cycle, in a spiral of not listening to my body and not admitting to myself that I have a Serious illness. Just the fact that visible exists and why, has given me permission to admit to myself that I have a probelm and I need to deal with it, it’s ok to ask for help and use which ever tools I can to assist me, visible being one of them just wearing the band reminds me to think about what I am doing and the possible consequences the over exertion notifications are very useful when I am working. I also blacked out recently and I could see on my armband that my heart rate had gone from resting at 65 to over 140 with no activity this was very useful to show the docter after the incident . With me having suspected Pots I wish there was an ecg element to visible to monitor blood pressure and heart rate I would find this really helpful.
