As the old gracefully makes way for the new, nature reminds us life’s beautiful cycles and the essence of change. Speaking of the new, we’re thrilled to share our November wrap up with you! WHAT’S NEW IN THIS VERSION:   WELCOMING NEW USERS Building on our last release, we’ve introduced guided onboarding and informational modals to make it even smoother and more intuitive for new users to dive into HOOPT. At the final step, users are invited to explore Connections, where they can privately connect with friends or communities that introduced them to HOOPT. This brings us closer to our full HOOPT BETA to App Store transition with our next version update of invite-only HOOPT access—reinforcing that this is your network. You build it, shape it, and decide how it thrives. SPOTLIGHT SEARCH Our ultimate goal at HOOPT is to empower you with a powerful, modern-day compass: your privately connected ecosystem where what you need is just a tap away. With Spotlight search on iPhone, you don’t even need to open the HOOPT App—simply swipe down, type a friend’s or community’s name, and quickly send a message or access all your collected items and automated lists—right when you need them. WELCOME HOOPT ANIMATIONS We’re excited to unveil our first wave of animations! To celebrate your ‘wanna’ and ‘loved’ actions, we’ve added delightful animations that bring your primary icons to life. Reactions in the activity feed, message responses, and our onboarding screens have also been given a fresh sparkle. For example, when you give an uplifting reaction to a friend’s item, a cheerful clap animation appears. Stay tuned for more of these fun features—let us know what else you’d love to see animated! LOOKING AHEAD TO THE REST OF 2024 & BEYOND (Revised based on latest plan on Nov 29) We’re gearing up for one more version update this year! Before the end of the year, this update will turn back on invite-only HOOPT access, exciting enhancements to the Connections epic, and chat features that our users and communities have eagerly requested. Plus, expect deeper iOS and iShare integration. In Connections, we’re addressing two top priorities highlighted by our users and community partners: seamless communication and enhanced organization. For seamless communication, we’re rolling out voice calling and on-demand message translation. On the organization front, you’ll find improved chat detail screens, including in-chat search, pinned items, and more. And as a holiday treat, we’re also working very hard to enhance your experience with sending videos. Looking ahead to January, new platform releases, including iPad and desktop releases for our HOOPT+ members, are on the horizon, pending quality approvals. We’re currently dedicating countless hours with our community partners—listening, collaborating, and fine-tuning—to ensure full alignment and aligned incentives on all fronts.
