Nothing loads - very frustrating
As a subscription holder, this is a disadvantage as I’m bound to access from a laptop only.
The Home page displays 3 options that doesn’t respond when selected. The Search Page gives the impression it is loading, but then goes blank after 50 seconds. However the Account Page loads with Details. Is it this app is still under development? I want to view textbook while in transit or do a quick look up of a topic via my phone. Would you please advice how soon the bugs will be addressed?

No proper reader functionality at all
No progress tracking so you’ll loose where you are on a book, no access to playlists, can’t make any adjustments to reading environment other than text size (font etc would be good). Take some inspiration from the kindle reading apps if you want to make this a good app. As iPad is my preferred reading device I don’t know if I can continue past the subscription trial without a solid reading experience.

Not ready for release
This app looks and feels like a demo project from a book. I find it very lacking in features compared to the app it replaced (for instance, I cant go to my owned books, reading lists, etc.). It’s also a usability nightmare since it just dumps titles on the Home Screen and never keeps track of your progress. Sure, the original app was missing things (highlighting and note taking) but this is a step backwards imho. They would have been better off to improving the other app. If this one doesn’t improve greatly and fast I’m not sure I’ll continue my subscription past its current term.

Doesn’t seem to do much at all.
Seems to spend most of its time displaying bouncing books with sparks flying out of them. Not much use.
Great that there’s a reader app
It’s great there’s a reader app. However, it requires basic functionality such as saving the page you last read so you can continue next time. Maybe a bookmark feature will suffice to start with. Will stick to using the Packt website until these features are in the reader app.
No search function in app
It would be good if the app has a search function to search for text within the book.
Disappointed
The app fails to load any books. It just freezes with a white screen.

Cuts out half or more of the content on every page, especially graphical but also textual cont.

logon attempt to open a book, it goes back to the logon screen. repeat, repeat, repeat.
