Charged $100 & won’t refund

Yeah don’t download this app. I downloaded it and did the monthly plan. Next thing you know I got charged $100?!!? So I immediately emailed them and they said they don’t do refunds??? Um what?????? Please don’t risk it. Would give 0 stars if I could

Would love a widget showing screen time avoided for motivation

Wow. I did have some glitches but Aro customer service is pretty incredible. Rich called me up personally to help me troubleshoot. Already excited to use this app / change my/ my families life ! Thank you again Aro!

Customer service

I ordered my aro box over a week ago and immediately wanted to use the app. I got an email saying I could use it as soon as I signed up! Since I already paid for the monthly subscription, new charging cables for box & shipping I assumed I could use the app. Everytime I try to log in it prompts me to buy a subscription. I emailed aro for support , wanting to log-on but unsure how to without buying a new subscription. No response. Emailed them again. No response. A throes time. No response. I’m so grateful I didn’t buy the year subscription! If I don’t hear back soon I’ll cancel in their 30-day window. I can’t imagine needing help with the actual app/ box and having no help !

This is a great app & a great tool to help keep technology in its place & emphasize the importance of real life connection with each other. Turns reducing screen time into a game/playful competition & helps foster more real life living.

Absolutely love the Aro Box, App is meh

My husband and I are absolutely loving the Aro box, but I’m sadly not super impressed with the app. Wish I could have just purchased the box and not had to pay the $180 for a year that I’m not going to use the app. Regardless, our physical screen time has dropped significant (although now my iPhone says my screen time is up 50% because it counts Aro app sessions as screen time 🤦🏻‍♀️) Great concept, but for the price wasn’t hoping for something more. Box is beautiful though and we love the lightning charger.

Amazing Aro

I would suggest it to everyone. It brigs family’s together and gets you interested in other the things than your phone. Just by getting off your phone you can feel more alive and happier. Ske to everyone who wants to have quality family time I would suggest the Aro.

Aro makes an impact on phone use

My wife, daughter, and I have all found HOURS more time in our lives in just two weeks by having the Aro box. We compete against each other to put our phone down the longest. Great app, great product

Not comfortable with required permissions

I love the device and the idea behind it and I feel it has helped with cutting down screw time. I am concerned with the requirement of always on and location services. It does not make sense why a Bluetooth enabled box I paid for would need to know my daily location. I can no longer opt out of this when I open the app.

The recent change that required location services be always enabled was intended to improve the connection between the Aro box and your phone, but we understand the concern regarding privacy. We have decided to no longer require location services to be "always enabled" beginning with version 0.1.22. Thanks for the support, and please keep the feedback coming!
