Egregiously Disappointing
Get prepared for a long rant. To start off this review, I’ve been a Gloomy Bear fan since august of last year and started playing this game around august of this year. And let me just say, it’s boring at the absolute best. I don’t want to be too harsh because the concept is fun and the special events for it that occurred in Japan were nice, but oh my god, the ads are one of this games worst and most overwhelming flaws. I’ve seen people leave 1 stars just for a game having banner ads, but I’m being completely serious when I say you can’t even progress properly without watching 2 minutes of ads depending on how many friends visit, not to mention how repetitive the visitors can get (95% of the time it’s just the Gozowroppers, AKA the organs) and the only way to change that is to grind for furniture that requires, you guessed it, a lot of ad binge watching and literal days of work. And if that wasn’t bad, a majority of the art featured in the pictures that Pity & Gloomy give to you after their trips is blatantly traced from the anime, and it’s done VERY poorly at that, which makes the game feel like more of a bootleg than an official one especially when paired with the English text that feels like it was hastily shoved through Google Translate. That’s only an issue for people who play the game through English (like me) yet it’s obviously not like the art is any prettier for Japanese users, it’s bland and feels like they made this game behind Mori Chack’s back or something, and a lot of Gloomy Bear merch in the west as of late has that exact same feeling. It’s bad. The only good things this game has going for it are the cute idle animations for Pity & Gloomy, the inclusion of more obscure characters (like Kumakikai & Slitgill), and the traveling motif… yet those are merely visual pros. The cons come from literally just playing the game itself. If I were to be given the free will of how to make it better, I’d make it so that you could interact with all of the characters more closely, and that tickets and coins being accessible weren’t locked behind grinding and constant ads, along with having art featured in photos that’s actually accurate to Mori Chack’s style. It’s been a while so I doubt this game is gonna get any more content aside from the occasional bug fixes, but I hope there’s something way better than this dumpster fire for Gloomy’s 25th anniversary, yet this of all things won’t be something hard to beat.

It’s just ads
I love gloomy bear but this ain’t it. It’s just idle sitting around if you don’t wanna pay $3 to speed up the process of them coming back after the first 5 skip tickets are used up. You need to watch ads for everything. Receiving gifts from visitors comes with ads. I think (?) the point of the game is to redecorate the home with the in game currency you receive after taking trips. So it’s just kinda grinding for points and items. It feels like playing with an interactive screensaver.

Pretty boring, not much to do
I love gloomy bear so much so I wanted to see if there were any games about him and I found this, at first I was really excited to play it until I realized that all you can do is send them on trips and stuff. Please add more stuff to do in this games it’s not very interesting at all

I love gloomy bear but……
I love gloomy bear so I was excited to see that there was a game. I opened the game and it was full of ads. So disappointing. Can’t we get a game without an ad every few seconds. You can’t play the game without watching ads. Other than that the game is awesome!
i love gloomy bear!
gloomy bear is amazing. gloomy bear is fantastic. gloomy bear is te best thing to exist. gloomy bear is cccoooolll. gloomy bear is goated🗣🔥🐐. i love gloomy bear.
Nice game but could do much better
Yup as to what everyone says there are too many ads just to redeem coins. Love gloomy bear and all but this game just needs to be MORE fun and interesting.
Love the game
I adore this game but it gets boring fast as much as I love Gloomy bear. I’m a bit disappointed with the lack of new content. Maybe you guys could add like a diary or something for Pity? I’m really interested in his side of the story and I kinda wanna know how gloomy thinks aswell. Also it’s SO hard to earn coins, it’s easy to earn fly miles but coins are hard to get.

A good app, with some setbacks
A little buggy, and very limited options for redecorating the house, but otherwise fun, I enjoy the edited photos <3
Thought it would be better
I’m kinda disappointed in this game, as a gloomy bear fan I was really excited.
Here’s my review:
- you need ads for a lot of stuff.
-hard to understand even though the tutorial is like t minutes long and you can’t stop it.
- no but seriously the tutorial is WAYYY to long.
- you can’t really interact with the characters.
The in game stuff costs to much coins, and the coins are hard to get back.
- only positive stuff I’m going to write is:
The graphics are great. The style and aesthetic of the game is extremely nice and cute, it suits the gloomy vibe. Characters are adorable and the fonts are nice. The language option is English and Japanese I’m guessing. (I’m Spanish, and learning good English so that’s a good thing and a bad thing.)
And yeah! I hope there will be a few changes in the future. :D
